After each set, they show on tv stats and winners hitting areas... I try to ignore them and remember what I felt during the play.
I agree with fashionista. Stats always represent the real situation. They're numbers. They're black and white. They're not interpretive. Trying to ignore them and remembering how you felt doesn't make them less real, even though I enjoy a comfort zone as much as the next person.
Now, a player's career will change. She will have good years and bad years. The differences between the early career, the middle career, and the late career can be significant. But all the stats are still real, and still relevant to some degree.
