Who wins?

The H2H is 6-3 in Andy's favour: he's been victorious the last 5 times they've met, but they played two tight matches this year already, in Oz in the semis, which Andy won 6-2 in the fifth, and recently at Queens, where Andy won their only match on grass, 6-3 in the final set.

An interesting aspect of this match is the Supercoaches of each man: it's McEnroe v Lendl at a Wimbledon final for the first time. That'll get a few miles on BBC...

Milos has a chance if :
-The one-two punch is on
-Attacks Andy's second serve every time
-Keeps it together upstairs.

Murray wins it if he mixes it up like he can, make it more of a baseline battle and stop Milos from dictating with the forehand and get into Milos' head .

I picked Milos to win this from day one and I am not changing that now. Milos in 4.

Milos made a lot of scabby returns on Roger's second serve today, especially on big points. Andy's second has improved, and though it's still not Federer's, I think Milos will have to show greater confidence again in the final, if he's to beat Andy. Murray will drag him into soul destroying rallies, befuddle him with that spider-web style, and basically make Milos think more than he's good at.

By the way, where's Herios at? Holidays? He always championed Milos, even back in the days when Grigor was still being touted, by me as well as others...

Milos will win - one set in a tie breaker.

Andy has more variety to befuddle Milos, Lendl in the Box and 15,000 fans in the court. There is no way he is losing this match.

This will be done and dusted in 3 or maybe 4. Murray returns way better than Roger and he won't let this opportunity slip in front of his home crowd. Also Milos has played a lot of tennis to get here, and with all the pressure of a final he may not be able to routinely dial in 140 MPH serves over the course of 4 or 5 sets.

Usually a bloke of Milos limited game and anxious mentality freezes in their first slam. I certainly never imagined him holding a slam trophy and I think it would take a huge service day, allied with more consistent subtlety and range than he showed today - and he played his best today - as well as Andy dropping a huge calf, for Milos to win.

But...he might just go out there and enjoy himself. The pressure is all on Andy, for once...

I'd like to think Milos can pull it off, and I think he can, but my head still says Andy in five.

There are still question marks bout Murrays fragility and there is obviously the concern that the occasion might get to Raonic - but if he serves well everything else will likely fall into place for him, his game plan has to be kept simple, which really suits someone who will have undoubted nerves.Murray on the other hand has to return well, serve well and leave the unforced errors behind. I have a feeling for 5 sets and I honestly would t be surprised if Raonic were to win, but Murray is the better player and except for a dip in the middle against a possessed Tsonga, he has been imperious. Murray in 5

Well Murray folded like a rookie in his first slam final, in Paris. He was great in the first set, but at the first sign of trouble he scarpered. He hasn't the mental stamina the Big 3 have, nor does he play the big points as well as them, but he still should have too much in these areas for Milos.

I wonder if the recent match at Queens will have a bearing, as in, one or both of them will take something crucial from that match into the final?

Here's a tidbit: there's a Canadian in both the men's and boy's final. Denis Shapovalov is a name to remember. He's currently the highest ranked (#374) player born in 1999.

In the three masters finals he played in his career Raonic lost by the scores of 2:6 2:6, 2:6 3:6 and 2:6 0:6, so he wasn't able to step up in a big final at all until now.

I expect him to do better than that tomorrow, but it would surprise me if Murray doesn't win in a competitive three- or rather comfortable four-set-match.

That's it, Milos has fairly flunked in big matches...up til now. But a first Wimbledon final can surely be the most intimidating of settings for any player. Some players take to it naturally, but I can't see that happening tomorrow...

I'd like to see Muzz lifting the Trophy but I'm not sure if he will. Raonic is playing well and seems to be very confident and Muzz usually loses his mind easy when the things don't go well on his side, we'll see...:dodgy:

Raonic will get frustrated that Murray is returning his serves and once he loses his cool that his main weapon isn't winning him the match he's toast. Can't see Murray losing this unfortunately.

Yes, it took 30 plus years but "Lendl" has finally learned how to play on grass and "John's "net game is the greatest in the history of the game anymore
