As a Nadal fan, the match I will closely look at the Raonic-Nishikori match. That could potentially be a five set match. Hopefully for each one of them, that would not be a case or else they have to come back the very next day and very likely face Nadal in the Quarterfinals.

Straightforward wins for Federer and Nadal.

I fancy Lopez to beat Stan narrowly. Although Stan has picked up his form on the grass, he just isn't that good on this surface.

Raonic vs Nishikori could be interesting. Both are still somewhat unknown quantities on grass, should suit Milos more on paper. Both of them gave Nadal some trouble on other surfaces earlier in the year too...

^ Well he has the element of surprise which is good. Most players don't like to play someone they've never played before 'cos you've no idea how you'll match up against them and he probably hasn't watched much of him. Neither have I!

I do think Nadal will win, but you're right about the element of surprise. Nick loves the big stage, too - centre court, large crowd. It'll probably be like Tomic vs. Djokovic in 2011. Maybe he could snatch a set?

Dunno what to expect 'cos I actually didn't watch any of Nick's matches but it's absolutely great to finally see new young players making headway. JJ in particular has annoyed the hell out of me the way he's done nothing since Wimbledon 2012.

JJ was Paris indoors finalist 2012 and Wimbledon SFist 2013. He has annoyed me too though, often showing he has the ability to take it to anyone on his day but he refuses to change his tactics and he mentally breaks down in matches all the time when things go against him, gets very sulky if he makes a mistake. There's nothing worse than seeing talent go to waste.

^ All the practice Nick had with Roger is paying off eh?

I don't think Roger would exactly be the right man to give tips to Nick on how to beat Nadal, however. :p

Sorry yeah, my mistake. Got the year of the Wimbledon semi mixed up. He's dropped way down in the rankings now as expected so it won't get any easier for him sadly.

Expecting Roger to move through in a quick three against Robredo. Nice to see blue skies over Wimbledon today. :)

Just back in time from my trip to watch Fed's 4th round match. As expected, things
are going smoothly. It is especially important considering he has to play again tomorrow.

In this edition of wimbly all four quarterfinals are mouthwatering.
