So they are actually moving everyone over to the Centre Court to resume the match so they can finish before that blasted middle Sunday. People are coming in and it seems that they can sit anywhere they want. And there is a 11 pm curfew?

Wimbledon.:popcorn

American Men Watch Just one manages to reach the second week and that too thanks to Wimbledon giving Kudla a wild card.:lolz:

An American always gets one wildcard. Kudla made the most of it, considering his record in slams so far.

That is not true. The other three slams, French, US and AUS have an agreement to give one
reciprocal wild card to each other in their slams. But, Wimbledon has no such agreement.
They were just kind enough to give it to Kudla.

That's surprising that it's 11pm. Used to be 10pm. Local council must be softening their stance. The houses behind Wimbledon are million pound plus houses, and you would expect the local authorities to tiptoe around them. Good for them, it's Saturday evening after all

I'm sorry that Monfils couldn't pull that one out. He is entertaining, and Berdych's matches are rather boring to me.

With this loss, Federer has had a dream draw! What few seeds have gone out have been in his half! Poor Nole still has Wawrinka, Gasquet, and possibly Kyrios in his section of the draw! If Roger can't handle Murray after all these easy matches, he doesn't deserve to make the final! :cover :nono  :dodgy: :popcorn

:puzzled

Um, Novak has Anderson, then probably Cilic. If he wins there, he will only face either Wawrinka, Gasquet, or Kyrgios in the semifinal

I'll put Nole's opposition against Roger's anytime and bet on them! Wawrinka has taken Nole to the brink and beaten him the last couple years; :cover only Kygrios? Murray's been on a losing streak to the top echelon; there's no comparison in the level of play! Murray's been good of late, but still hasn't been tested! Beating Rafa on his last legs is not impressive these days! :p :nono  :dodgy:

It's been 11 pm for a fair while. Remember the Murray-Bagdatis match in 2012 which was nip and tuck as to whether it would finish by 11 - and they actually used some commonsense and let it go and it finished about 2 minutes after 11 or around there

Nehmeth has the stronger argument here. While Djokovic's road to the final consists of mostly speed-bumps, (and yes, Wawrinka could be a huge pothole,) Federer has Murray. That's the harder road. Anyone on Djokovic's side would be punching above their weight. Murray would not be, and he gets the crowd.

Nice double hit at the net by Ivo. He got away with it and wins the match.

I was not paying attention much, but Brad Gilbert explained something about that peculiar situation what was happening there is legit and is not called as a double hit.

Who knows...but if the ball hits the bottom of your frame first, and you complete the shot with the top of the frame, to me that is the definition of double hit. Maybe the rules have changed.

Yes they have in the 1970's. That was a legit point by Dr. Ivo. Unintentional double hits are allowed.

I will have to disagree. It is not about intention, it is about "one fluid motion". If there is definite two separate motions, it is a double hit. No doubt in my mind there was two separate motions. It was a double hit.

Murat, you are correct it is not one fluid motion. It is a double hit. However, it is difficult to detect unless you watch it in slow motion and so the umpire is not at fault. Also, Ivo did not intentionally
cheat either as it is difficult for him to know what he was doing in the heat of the moment.
