5-4 JJ. Entering sudden death for both players now and I have to leave in about 5 min. Will this be over by then?

I don't understand why players want to challenge when they are in control of the point.
Bad decision by Petra

She is gone. Lesson here don't let Steve Tignor pick you for the win. He was wrong all three matches picking Petra, Lisicki and Kerber. Jinx! Prime opportunity for Aga! However, history has proven she never capitalizes when life hands her gifts.

Did you all notice. JJ was weaing an ad patch for "lastminute.com", the same one worn by Dustin Brown. Ominous sign.

Petra was playing great tennis...Janky was defending well and probably learned from yesterday that if you keep the ball in play you have a chance...

Normally, Petra loses by hitting self-destruct button. But, I would not classify this loss in that category. PK did not self destruct, just lost.

So disappointed in Petra. I did not think she would crumble in this fashion on grass. She needs a new coach, one who can walk her through matches when things are going off. She was losing racquet head speed which is the worst response. She had to maintain it and increase margin of error.

Aga is doing a happy dance. Good for her. I want to see her getting back near the top of the rankings.

Interesting thing to note, Aga is knocking back on the top 10 door and potentially top 8 again depending on what she does. Caroline can potentially get back in the top 4. Baczsinsky and Venus are close to top 10. Garbine, Bencic, Keys are in the top 20 now and Azarenka is right outside the top 20 at the moment. Good news heading into the U.S. Open as things look like they are starting to balance out.

I haven't seen the match but according to the tennis experts Garbine- Kerber has been the best match of this tournament so far. Garbine made an incredible shots to the lines, going often to the net and good serve, enough to win
Hope she make even better against Caro though the grass is not her fav surface but anyway they have played three times and Garbi has won twice

Just woke up and saw the results. Stunned that Kvitova lost. :eyepop Will have to watch the highlights later. But what a great results for Jankovic! :clap And boy has that bottom half of the draw just opened up! Who's coming up from that side for the final now? It's anyone's guess. What a golden opportunity for Wozniacki! But that 4th round match will be tricky. Radwanska has been there before. Maybe she will revive her career. Things are really goning to become up in the air if Venus beats Serena on Monday.

I think Serena is going to come out focused. I think Watson was her big wake up call.

That's usually the case but after watching Serena get five wake up calls and barely win the French, I'm a little hesitant to predict anything about her right now.

Couldn't care less what color their hair is, their skin is or their underclothes are. Let's just see some good tennis.

I'll take that back. IF Venus comes out with her "flesh-colored" underpants again, I may have to start a thread just for that.

Well that's a shame about PK, but I love JJ; like Hingis and Radwanska, she's a chessboard tactician! I'll enjoy watching their women's match next week! :popcorn  :shy:
