When it's too dark for hawkeye to work then it's too dark to play.

A nice straight set win for Andy today. One match at a time.

yes :D skeletor burdych is on his bike. :) he can got back to his main hobby of being amazing rafa's biggest fanboi.

they were playing past 9:30pm after sunset..must have been on court 1,2 or 3..no way do you play at 9:30pm on centre, the open roof still takes away too much of the feeble twilight.

Looked crazy dark when they showed one side of the spectators' seats and you could imagine how hard it was to see the baseline paint as Berdych pointed out.

must have been gloomy out there but if the scoreline was reversed and he was nearly winning and not losing he would've been wanting to carry on.

True I guess. Must say I thought he'd win that TB especially seeing as it's his initials :p But wasn't to be. Very well played match by Cilic. That court looks WAY faster than centre court too.

Yeah, first time I ever heard the umpire say it was too dark for Hawkeye. Should've stopped play alright and played the TB tomorrow imo. You can understand both sides though. Get the match done and dusted if Cilic won the TB, which he did. Murray looked good out there from what I saw of his match. I liked the Cilic v Berdych match but fell asleep on the sofa for a few games with my cat on my lap :D Couldn't move after the gym and 35 min walk there and back too in pretty hot weather. Zzzzzz.

If hawkeye doesn't work because it's too dark then how accurate are the calls the line judges are making? I've seen posts on twitter from fans at the match and they couldn't believe how dark it was. Berdych has been very measured in his response. He said the better player won but he believes play should have been stopped.

Murray is playing well but he's not really been tested yet.

I hope you're keeping hydrated after the gym session and that walk home.

It got too dark for Hawkeye in the '08 final, so this wasn't a first, but it is rare.

I told Herios back in January that Grigor will be a top 10 player by the end of the year.......I'm feeling good about that. I also called for the demise of Ferrer as a top 8.

I missed it but watched that video of the awesome point that pavlik89 posted and he certainly looks to be on fire. Nice to see Dolgo smiling at the end of that point too which he lost.

Happened last night, too, and PMac said he'd never heard of it, but Wertheim said in his book that it happened in the 08 final, only that it never became an issue.

Right. I think it was 4-4 in the fifth when they were told it could no longer be used.

murray zooming through the draw..yippee.

He's lost 19 games in three rounds. That's terrific. I didn't check, but I bet it's better than anyone else.

Grigor is really coming into his own this year, and looking very fine on grass. I didn't see much of the match today, but for a bit it looked like the Dog would get him. But Dimitrov didn't panic, and held up. He's definitely matured. His confidence and ambition are starting to match his game.
