Cilic and Berd could be interesting and Dimitrov might get a decent test. It's one of those matches that Dimitrov needs to win and fairly comfortably to show he is becoming more consistent.

Dimitrov better bring his return game because if the last match is any indication Dolgo is serving great.

I am not expecting any surprises but I imagine Agut will put up a decent fight against Murray. That guy is improving constantly.

Fognini-Anderson is a contrasting styles clashing. Let's see if Triple F can get through this one without drama.

I am also curious as to how Rusty-JJ match will conclude. I am rooting for Leyton there.

Nole -Simon sounds boring on paper, because we all know how Simon will play, but I see this as a great opportunity for Nole to improve his attacking game, come forward, channel his inner Becker a bit.

^ It may not be so boring hopefully. Simon played a blinder against Nadal at Rome. Never saw him play so aggressively. He'll have to do so to stand any chance but hopefully he'll make it interesting. If he plays his usual counter puncher miles behind the baseline game he's toast, so he'll need that aggressive mindset and game plan.

Simon's success at Wimbledon has always been limited:

I'll be surprised if Novak doesn't win this in straights.

I think Fog will be punted out. Hope I'm wrong but he seems too up and down to win against a decent big server at Wimbledon.

Matches of the day:

Berdych / Cilic
Dimitrov /Dolgo

Djoko/Simon might be semi-interesting for a set but the bottom line is that Novak does everything better.

Yeah, I'm going with Anderson. He might prove to be a bit of a dark horse here. They are underway.

Nice first set between them. I like both these guys, but yes, Simon doesn't have the weapons to win here.

And Simon broke back. JJ's playing in sunglasses. Hangover?

And just like that, it's 5-2... they may have slowed down the grass courts, but it still plays a lot quicker than the old clay.

Glad Jerzy took the second. He needs to get through this quick! Sorry, not a Hewitt fan, and don't have much sentiment for him.

He often wears the sports sunglasses.

Just kidding, though I hadn't seen it before. I was thinking of Safin.

Nole chipping and charging...that brought a tear or two to my eyes...

I have said this before but I don't mind repeating myself: There is a lot of room to come to the net in the men's game today, and not just on grass. Simply because other than a handful of top players, the field is not good at passing people. Why? Because they rarely have to! When nobody comes forward and everyone stays back, you are not going to have a lot of practice in short, angled, heavy top spinned passing shots.

Giraldo beats Granola and earns the right to face Roger.

Rusty needs to win 3 sets in a row now to beat JJ. I am not sure he can do that.

Also, if you need another reason for robbie koenig to be your favorite commentator, he just recommended the show Eastbound & Down. Probably forgot to mention that is one not for the kids.
