oh Sloane! couldnt save the 6th match point :D crazy good match.
Makiri served around the 90% 1st serves :exclamation: in 2nd set and played clean high level tennis.
What happened to the grand slam "specialist"? ;) Sloane needs a slap on the face to wake her up, and she needs it now.

Sam and Sloane are out after only 2 hours of play in Wimby! Who is next ?! thats crazy.
Yanina and Makiri didnt exist on the tour in last months and look what they did :puzzled

Had to look it up. I didn't realize MaKiri had slipped so low

in the rankings ( 80s ) to be a dangerous lurker. Bad for

top 20 players to see her in the early rounds. On any day

she can sting somebody.

Yeah, good player and one of the prettiest on tour. Her knee injury was the reason her ranking plummeted. She was number 9 before the injury.

Makiri played few events before Wimby this year and failed in them. Thats why its a surprise to see her playing well. She was good today.

Tomorrow's schedule is out and I cant get the logic behind it.
They kept 3 popular players TBA while matches with less popular players have their court and time. Thats weird. I am talking about Ana, Zvonareva and.. SIMONA HALEP no.3 in the world not knowing where she will play. How weird is that...
Irina Begu ranked 85 knows when and where while Halep ranked 3 has no clue when and where she will play.
At least its not a conspiracy because Ana the VIP and Vera are treated just as bad :D
Weirdos and disrespectful as well :puzzled They should make TBA the less popular players.
Sometimes when they have TBA matches, they will move them to Centre or Court 1 if those matches finish early for the day. Not always bad to be TBA.

Still has a lot of knee strapping on so probably only a matter of time till her knee is out of action again. Sad. Radwanska is covered in bandages and strapping all year round. I call her The Mummy :snigger

It's one less person to root for. So that's good. Less stress.

:D she is insane. throwing her career through the window. I believe that she has an issue with her self confidence.
She doesnt want to be hurt mentally when she puts a real effort and lose, so she behaves like a petulant little girl by "not caring"!
Sloane cares too much and thats why she doesnt care. Does it makes sense?...
She wants to avoid pain so she doesnt try hard. She is indifferent in purpose. She needs a psychologist asap.
She must understand that the pain of losing is a part of the deal. She is blocking her real emotions.

Si Si Simona I'm kind of surprised to see you write like this. Usually you're really measured and put together in your posts... I find this kind of mean and speculative.

We have absolutely 0 idea what is going on in Sloane's head or her private life. People assume one thing or another when a player starts to do badly. How do we know she's petulant? How do we know how traveling non stop and putting your body through constant physical discomfort would affect us at 20 years old? It's really unfair to judge a player when there is very little information to go on. Believe me, I'm sure she's beating herself up enough without the entire tennis world attacking her every time she doesn't win big.

I don't know how this new coach is working out.
How long has she been with Annacone? It's been rocky, I haven't seen any improvements yet.

As for Si beating up poor Sloane for a loss to one of the premier doubles players in the league and the 2012 quarterfinalist right here, I won't be as concerned. Kiri was long due after her injury and rough return this year.

Now, Sam Stosur loss was a big shock to me although fashinista told me Stosur wasn't going to do anything this grass season...

My opinion about Sloane once again:
A total underachiever who doesnt even come close to her potential. It sounds mean because its such a shame to see a good potential failing because of lack of character. Thats what it is, nothing else. In simple words: The girl does not fight hard enough. Thats why many fans dont like her. Fans have no problem seeing players with no potential losing and failing, but seeing a good potential not trying hard enough is annoying for sports fans. Thats all really.
My post may not be nice but what Sloane is doing is much uglier than an Internet post.

P.S. - Kiu, you are totally correct about me having scars from other forums, but I really try to be good and fair without losing touch with reality. Reality is the most important thing. Its subjective of course, we are all subjective, admit it or not. In Sloane's case I am just a bit mad about her. She needs a character change/improvement asap. Thats my view and there is no other way about it.

No one is judging her SK. We are all entitled to our opinion whether it's warm and fuzzy or not. Let's not impose our feelings on someone else. Though I don't know what's personally going on w/ Sloane, you can understand why there's cause for concern. Truth is, she's not living up to her potential. The win over Serena rocketed her to a spotlight she wasn't quite ready for. We've seen the win have an adverse affect. It's been a year and half since then and she is still struggling to find her way. I do not know how much Annacone can do to help her with this. Alot of it is mental and there's no shame in seeking a professional if it will help you personally or professionally.

Si,
you are not the only one with that opinion around here, most agree with you.
I beg to differ, it's tough out there, everyone has their ups and downs. Sloane is young and trying to cope, in my mind, she needs a lift more than a slap on the head.

We like you around here, go ahead and post your heart away...
