Djokovic retired in a Slam QF? Geez... are we back to those days? Is that how far he's fallen mentally? The arm's not broke so suck it up and finish the match and let Berdych win the match in 3 sets. Agassi once played what - the last 1 1/2 - 2 sets of a French Open match with sciatic pain and wouldn't retire so his opponent could win the match instead of giving him a walk-over.

He was doing great lately, I would have really liked to see him take on grandpa fed.

Have to disagree here. It'd be one thing if this was in the middle of the 3rd set in a GS final. But he was having issues the other day and asking him to stay out there for two more sets and possibly make it a lot worse is a little too much.

I don't like the fact that he had to retire, since the rest of the season is now compromised, but as a fan, that was an equally ugly comment from your side.

Way too early to say that. Berd is no slouch, Fed knows that well. And Cilic was always the 1st or 2nd biggest threat to Fed in that half (along with Nadal)
