Well, Fed's chance equals Haas' chance on this surface, so we can't actually say we have a clear winner. I personally don't see anyone of the two winning it though.;)

Who are you picking Slasher?

I'm gonna go out of the way and pick Janowicz. He has a decent chance. But if I'm wrong, oh well...

Well, if he does it won't be easy. Fed has to play with Brands first then with Gulbis if he wins and they are both good. And that's only start, because there are many more good players in the draw.

Gulbis can be a tricky opponent when he's in...he already beat Olderer on clay in Roma if my memory is good

FYI to those in the states. Espn3.com starts coverage of it tomorrow.

Also, Gulbis got upset, and took three sets for fed and haas to survive.

Yeah, General. Jerzy's looking up to the Top 10 already. I'm sure he's impatient to get there already. A win here can get him right below the line (12 or 13), just 11 points behind Nishikori. I mean, how many times must he say it, he wants it.:snigger

JJ stock falling quickly now.

Is this a joke?

I didn't catch the match, but seems a bit dramatic.

^ kind of a joke, i didn't mean the "JJ in the ATP" stock, i meant the "JJ for the win in Hamburg" one. also, posted this before the match was over (or before i knew the result). still don't know what forced him to retire.

Got it. People seem so ready to condemn every young guy as useless if they don't perform well in every tournament, so I misread it in that light.

Federer is one of my favorites and I am a little worried about the state of his game. But, I believe he has a very good shot at winning Hamburg.
