While I doubt he'll win it and doubt he even gets past Djokovic, the fact he hasn't won it in ages isn't the issue if you recall the length of time between his last AO win before 2017. With a good draw anything is possible in sport but Federer has a nightmare draw.
Millman was a nightmare for sure

Well smartass, it doesn't make much difference since he hadn't a prayer next match against Djokovic in the current form he was in so hence the "nightmare draw". The nightmare draw btw was likely to be Djokovic, then Cilic and then Nadal and if you don't think that's a nightmare then my advice would be stop watching tennis.

I've ruined it for Feds :'(

You seem to be asking for more credit than Milkman.

I can give you credit if you have called exactly in what round Fed will lose. Simply saying Fed won't win this USO is a no brainer. Fed was not my pick (despite me being an ardent fan of Fed) to win this USO.

Thiem was a nightmare for Manacor's bull too....there's no easy draw in GS, even an average player can make a feat

How was he a nightmare? He lost and his game was nothing special last night.

Federer may not be the greatest player of all-time (that would be Rafa), but one thing is for sure YOU are the greatest troll of all-time. Congratulations.

Little miss innocent bitch at it again. You've done nothing but troll since you got here. On top of your retarded posts it is clear you suck at math as Rafa is no GOAT to anyone aside from clownish homers like yourself.

Anyways, what did I say that was so wrong? To be a nightmare for a player that usually means you beat them.

Honey you are confusing greatest ( GOAT) which is a combo of qualify/quantity with most successful (MSOAT) which is only based on quantity. Nadal had to beat peak Federer and/or peak Djokovic ever since he joined tennis, he didn’t have the luxury to accumulate 10 slams against nobodies. Nadal is the GOAT.

And what did you say wrong? You said Thiem didn’t do anything special yesterday when everyone is saying that it was an epic high level battle one of the best QF in history. Get a clue.

One of the best QF in history? LOL. Just because it went 5 doesn't make it some huge classic. It was far from it, Rafa clearly far from his best game and going up against a guy who doesn't have much game off clay. It had its moments of brilliance but you had a guy normally rock steady (Nadal) make some stunning errors to make it a match. Anyways people calling this one of the best matches ever are just slaves of the moment.

Nadal won his first major in 2005 and at that time the count was 4-1. So since the end of RG 05 it is 16-16 and that's Nadal age 19-32 and Roger 24-37. I guess young Nadal was no competition but an ancient Federer is? I mean look at the tour the last 1.5 years, Nadal's only notable competition was a 36-37 year old part-time player before Nole's recent resurgence. When Roger was in his early 30's he had Nole, Rafa and Murray all in their primes. Right now there is no good young player on tour, not a single one.

Besides, greatness is about achievements and Roger still dwarves Nadal's career as of now. But you can and will tell yourself what you want to believe.

So Nadal has quality and quantity? Seriously? This is a guy who has been punching above his weight for almost his entire career. It sounds blasphemous to even say that this guy could be on 4 US Open titles soon, not to mention that he reached the Wimbledon semifinals. He has been helped by the slowing down of playing conditions and his physical prowess. When it comes to quality, there are so many better payers.

you can be a nightmare for a player and lose at the end...see Dominator vs Manacor's bull 2 days ago, he obliged him to fight during a long time and made him eat a bagel in front of a full stadium...I guess the Spaniard had a bad time, even if he won at the end

I disagree. Sports is about winning, proving your superiority, and if you get the W you don't view the opponent as a nightmare on that day. And in regards to that match there are a lot of players that would have taken Nads out the way he has been playing this tournament so far. He's struggled with 3 unheralded players in a row.
