Sabine can knock anyone out, Serena included, whether she would do it or not, it's a different story.

How about Date-Krumm? She has never played Serena before!

I don't think Date will be the one, but I was more surprised that they'd never played before.

Did Date not skip a few years on the tour? And Serena was gone for a bit too. But yeah, it is a bit of a surprise...

Can you believe it? When I was looking it up, I couldn't believe my eyes.
A 31 year old and a 42 year old, being on the tour for soooo long, have never played each other...
they played in different eras:cool:

I think Serena needs to go seriously AWOL for anyone to take a set off her, but the match that might ignite a fierce squabble is Stosur, if it happens. But I still think that'd be over in straights...

Unfortunately, I think you're right. I don't see Stosur presenting a problem on grass. Not with Serena's grass-friendly serve. (OK, any-surface-friendly serve, but it's particularly lethal on grass.)

I'll be stunned if anyone other than Serena wins this.

Yeah. I don't think this streak will end here. I just think she's too motivated.

Lisicki or Petra can do it here if they play their best game and Serena has an off day.

Well, now we know, eh? Bigger upset than Fedal. Lisicki did well to rediscover her range at love-3 in the 3rd...

I don't know if it's a bigger upset than Fedal because Lisicki has done this before to top players and always performs well at Wimby.

True, but I just didn't see anyone taking a set off Serena, let alone beating her. I'd have considered it a huge upset if she lost against whoever's #2 in the final...

I didn't think anyone would beat Serena, either, but this was definitely not in the same league as Roger's loss, but I do think Serena's loss is bigger than Rafa's.

she better win the whole thing now...as usual Lisicki will have a letdown. She is always used as a spoiler...at least Serena won RG13 and has 5 Wimbledon titles.I hope Kvitova or Bartoli win this thing..

Well I hope Lisicki backs up this win now. Since 2009 she's beaten the player who won RG. Quite a stat! Not a fan of Kvitova at all with her silly scored wins 90% of the time, 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 or such nonsense. So I hope Lisicki makes it through.
