Dojker lost Rio, Delpo went up again, Nadal also i would say and Muzza captured gold.

Any opinions for rest of the year. Obviously Djoker will have to push it for defence of No.1
Cincinati is out for him, some wrist injury is mentioned. Nothing is sure anymore, that time came. Muzza might attack No. 1 spot.

One more GS and finals.

There is a big question mark here. On the one hand Novak won Toronto between Wimbledon and the Olympics, so his status is definitely a who knows?

I would love to see Delpo surge.

I like to see Rafa and Delpo emerging and injuries free, Muzz with more strong head and the youngest ones doing better, can I ask more? then Tennis would get more interest

Nyah; let's have the same ol' boring winner in Nole to make it interesting for the Fedalovic historians! I wouldn't mind his coasting the rest of the season; let the rest of the Masters 1000 titles go and allow new winner at YEC after 4 (5 overall) reigning years! :dodgy: :p

Good question. If think oldies are still too strong, even if Delpo win, its still older team. Rafa, Djoker, Delpo, Muzza. Hard to pass them.

I am ok with a new champion. But, I would be happy even if someone who has won USO just once before wins again. ;)

I don't think Rafa was "injured again in Cinci", I think he hit the wall in terms of exhaustion and readiness to compete. He'll rest and be ready for Flushing Meadows, hopefully. As for the rest of his season, it's a lottery.

For the rest of it, I expect Andy to do well, Novak not to do so well, and perhaps a surprise winner at the WTF...

The only injury **Rafa has is his brain. There is no rehabilitation for that part of his body.

Sorry but I'm just not buying the narrative that many are pushing that Andy is now "the man to beat", and that Rafa is knocking on the door of greatness once again. Prediction: Djokovic wins US OPEN (unless his wrist injury is worse than reported), and if he doesn't, someone not named Murray or Nadal WILL win it. In terms of Nadal, as stated elsewhere, what WAS he thinking playing in Cincinnati, reportedly to shore up his chances at the YEC? He's never won them, certainly won't this year, and he risked further injury just coming off a layoff for his wrist. And Andy is totally gassed (still playing this week) so he'll be a basket case as well at the US OPEN. And when he starts beating Novak regularly in slams (which he hasn't done in several years) I'll believe that Andy has turned a corner. Until then....

Any top male player that showed up in Cincy should have their head examined! They aren't even young; knowing their limitations, but going anyway! Andy's truly put his chances of taking USO in jeopardy if Nole fails to make it through! Murray will be kicking himself for sure! Kerber's benefiting by going though! Serena may very well drop her #1 ranking since she isn't defending all those points! :dodgy: :p :clap :ras:

And still around 6000 points behind with Nole needing to drop off the planet for Murray to achieve #1! :nono  :p

Not in the race. The official points mean very little compared to the race. Here's the actual points difference between them. Gap is getting smaller and smaller if Murray wins Cinci.

I'm quite aware he has tons of points to defend while Andy doesn't have as many, but I just can't imagine Nole collapsing; still remember Fed was ahead a couple years ago, took the #1 seed at O2, but it all got sorted out by the end of the tourney and the season! :dodgy: :p
