Considering where Nole came from, what he had to deal with on court and off court, I think he can't be compared to Fedal who have always had better conditions for developing their skills, better sponsors, better media coverage. Even his health issue was discovered by pure luck, if that didn't happen in 2010, all this conversation would have been futile. Yet many tennis experts think very highly about him and his tennis, some using the best ever for some aspects of his game. How many good, talented players showed their promise but were never able to really realize their potential? I am glad that Nole was able to, even if in some people's eyes it is not enough. Yeah, he will never be Fedal, but I don't want him to. I want him to be his own, unique self, setting standards in tennis and outside of tennis.
Nole is already 2nd on the all time list of top 10 wins in his career, which will only climb up. His whole career for most of his titles he had to beat either Fedal or Murray. Now they are not as good, my gosh I would say they are still way better than some of the previous competition we had.:snicker
