Nole said, "Bye!"

He didn't wear a golliwog wig and dance with the ballgirls after the match, did he? :snicker

Abandon-the-fam Stan flames out with twice as many errors as winners. Getting outed for shagging a teen seems to be affecting his game.

No he said, "You better watch those Aussies they are after your girl, so I figured I would make your exit quicker since you are so worried about it."

Too funny your comment too. if you have some knowledge about this sport you can't deny that Feli played better than anyone else. And I'm not the only one saying that, all the good tennis followers, including commentarists, writers and experts have said the same thing.

With the myriads of writers and commentators saying this, did you ever think to provide a link or two that's chock full of their hyperbole?? Or are you part of the find-it-yourself crowd?

:dodgy: Sometimes I wonder if you and Fiero are actually "Elegant Roger" from the old days.

I don't need to provide anything, it was just a fact that Feli played incredible well so I have not any idea what's your problem :nono

Not my problem at all Carol. You can say you thought Feli played incredible, that's one thing. However, you may not include, "all the good tennis followers including commentarists, writers and experts", without any link to prove even one person thinks the same as you do. If you don't understand that, then I feel sorry for you.

I tell you what, if Lopez breaks Roger 3 times in 3 sets on a fast hard court hell will freeze over and Roger shouldn't bother showing up for the USO. I don't care what the over the top announcers are saying. It's their job to praise the winner to epic proportions.

I watched the match last night and Lopez played well against someone who was mediocre. To me, Rafa was serving poorly and hitting many easy groundstrokes long, wide or into the middle of the net. Feli will have to play much better than he did last night to even stay in the match with Federer.

I understand everything because I like to read and listening the people (not just around here) and that why I say that. If you refuse to see how well Feli played that's your problem, not mine, and honesty I don't care at all :p:rolleyes:

Novak vs. Stan matches are pretty predictable. Straight set affair for Novak outside of slams, and a competitive epic in slams. This was no different.

I wonder what Rafa must do to convince Carol that he's playing like crap. Maybe that's why he's stinking up the joint further with every tournament.

Rafa has said about the match: "I played well, I didn't play a bad match but I think Feli played great. I was there during the whole match with the right intensity, with the right attitude, doing the things I have to do but today I played against an opponent that has played a fantastic match. He played the best match ever against me without any doubt. I congratulate him, that's it"
It's so true, Feli played the match of his life in all the ways, he would have beaten to anyone but Rafa was the "victim" though I also have to say that he (Rafa) gave me good vibes, he played well, not perfect, not his best but you can tell that he is closer and closer. I think the USO is going to bring us (his fans) a very good time.
We'll see today how Feli is going to play, I doubt that he can play two matches in a row so well, no way but I hope to see a good match like yesterday against Rafa and also very good Muzz-Dimitrov although this last one didn't play so well in the most crucial moments

Too funny. Feli can play as well as he likes against Roger tonight, barring a God awful performance it won't be a match. You are living in denial. Rafa losing to Lopez just shows how far off the pace he is.

Too funny your comment too. if you have some knowledge about this sport you can't deny that Feli played better than anyone else. And I'm not the only one saying that, all the good tennis followers, including commentarists, writers and experts have said the same thing. If he would play today like yesterday your beloved player wouldn't reach the semis but unfortunately it won't be the case, Feli did enough yesterday, he can't repeat it again

Dear Carol, Feli did play great yesterday but what you are not considering is the issue of match ups. You have to look at some details. When you do, you see that Lopez has won a bunch of matches against Nadal on fast surfaces. Why? Because that is the only time you can take time away from Rafa, which is the kind of tennis Lopez likes to play. And then you look at Lopez's record against Federer and you see that regardless of the surface, Lopez never won a match against Roger. Why? Because Roger is THE master of taking time away from others, so Lopez is not allowed to play HIS game against Roger. Just like Roger cannot play HIS game against Rafa unless it is fast court.

See , that is why it does not make sense to say "Feli could have beaten anyone yesterday" because he could not have. His game worked against Rafa because he could execute his game plan. Match ups are like that. A guy like Davydenko can beat Rafa many times, yet his record against Roger is embarrassing. But Roger's record against Rafa is embarrassing too. See what I mean?

I'm glad you understand everything. I venture to say most of us also read and listen to writers and commentators from various venues. I've neither read nor heard anyone doling out the effusive praise you claim "all" of them lavished upon Feli.

... and it's quite obvious you don't care.

Is it just me or there somebody else out there giving Gasquet a shot? I changed completely my mind about him in the last months (even if based only on two matches, and, of course, the results in general).

Also, I think he will qualify for London, even if he is still some 1000 points behind the #8 spot).

Ok EVERYBODY, I've never said that Rafa played wonderfull, I said that I've never seen Feli playing so well, serving, hitting, on the net, running , baseline, etc etc, he did everything well. I KNOW that if Rafa would have play his best he never would have lost that match but that awful tb was his end giving more strength and confidence to his opponent who was playing superb
IF he plays so well today he will beat Federer (who is not playing his best either) but I don't think he could be able to repeat it :nono or maybe yes?
