Played 5 sets today, won 4 of them, two matches.
Add this to last week's beating of Kvitova and Kerber.
Has to play the winner of Halep/Konta next, I don't think she will survive that.
I CAN be further surprised though.

I don't know. Halep/Konta is setting up to be a barn-burner. Konta just broke back to even the set. They're both fighters and I think this match will go long. Might almost even things up.

So true Baron. How many times this year has she been on the brink of taking over #1? All she had to do was win one match and she would have claimed the spot. It's like her mentality is waiting to get it by default (someone losing early and not defending their points) instead of actually earning it. So I believe Pliskobot keeps #1 because Simona didn't win yesterday.
