I still think it is gonna be an All American Women's Final and doubles partners. Coco vs. Jess.

Apparently Coco went straight to the practice court after her match with Zhang

The thing is with her serve is her 1st serve can be extremely good. Then there is a huge drop off. That is the main problem.
Well she needs to get more control, especially on a fast service, going into the 2nd week of a GS, on clay it is not that vital but on quick services it is.Her 2nd serve is attackable, a lot of us here want Coco to get a proper coach not her dad

The coach thing is another ballgame and I don't know when she will address that one with a change. One of her biggest assets is her 1st serve and when it is on she can be lights out. Yeah her 2nd serve is easily attackable because of the huge drop off. Her opponents really have to wish for her 1st serve % to be really down in the match. If it is not they are probably in trouble. I hope Coco is working on her serve in this practice. She is certainly going up against next a player in Carolina Garcia who has a fantastic serve.

A proper coach can address the problems in your game, she has reached a stage I feel when she hasnt improved in area's thats where a proper can address the present issues and take her to next level

I have had two coaches in my life. Never was my coach my dad or mom. When I started playing at the age of 5, I got instructions from this coach who basically just taught really little kids. Once I learned the fundamentals of the game, I switched to the coach I have now and they work with me on all sorts of things as I develop my game. I am not like Coco or anywhere near that level, but I am good enough to play in school and some local tournaments and hopefully good enough in the future to play in college.

I think the job of a parent is to lend moral support and that is what my parents have done for me along the way.

Good to have parents lending moral support
Though we are talking about Coco who is an extremely gifted tennis player, I feel, like others here she needs a proper coach, her serve for instance hasnt improved, like I feel it should have, I will give you another example of a player who for years had her father as her coach and stayed at the same level, Caroline Garcia, she got a proper coach and look at her now

I get it for sure. Coco is also only 18 years old and I bet at some point she will change.

I think Coco's serve has a ton of potential and that is where you are 100% correct where she needs the proper coach to maximize that potential on her serve. I really think if that happens she could have a Rybakina or Garcia type serve.

I think this is where so many on the WTA and ATP fail is knowing when they need to make that change in coaching to improve their game and take it to the next level.

You would think when they reach such an incredible level they would know that sort of thing that would help them raise the level of their game even more.

Well when coach is dad or mom I get it, but if you want a slam you have tough decisions to make.
