Surprise on Sunday that Coco does not get the evening match. It is Ons that gets the late match on Arthur Ashe.

Now that Serena has retired the pressure will now be on Coco, especially from the media, we were discussing that fact the other day
Coco is very mature for her age,has fantastic communication skills.I am sure her parents and management team will help her navigate the media potholes.

The women's matches on the Granstand (Pliskova/Bencic & Sabalenka/Burel) are getting stockpiled because of the length of the Shapovalov and Rublev match.

She needs to take a page from the Williams sisters’ book, and move on from her father as her coach. He’s done a great job to get her where she is, but it’s time to take the next step.

I think she is due for a win here, she has been a finalist three times.I hope she is peaking in time ..
Remember the USO final between Vika and Serena, even though Vika lost she never took a backward step when playing Serena, they had some good contests

Coco is right on the verge of taking that next step of winning that slam. Looking at her side of the draw it looks really good for her. If she gets there to the final, it is according to who she plays. On the other side of the draw there are a few worthy opponents I think. Kvitova if she can control her serve. Pegula is very consistent. Vika is also very strong and has been there before. Sabalenka is extremely strong. Dani Collins is playing some really good tennis and of course there is Iga.

I think it's emotional support that her father provides, apparently they are very close and since she is an only girl he probably wants to protect her at all costs. She now has a coach who is helping her with her serve and that's a good move.I think they will slowly give way to a more experienced coach as time goes on.She is still very young and there is no rush, she is building up her game once everything comes together she will start winning big events.Reaching the final at RG was a start and she is now number one in doubles , the next win could be a slam who knows.I think they are on the right track she has just graduated from high school and has time to reach the highest level. Her time will come, she still has to peak and that usually happens at 21yrs.
