Especially for a player who has played like 6 matches in the past year.

This was almost reminiscent of Martina Navratilova back in '91! She had lost to Capriati in the QF at Wimbledon! She came back to the States and only played WTT which is not something you'd call competitive! Martina came into the OPEN #5, seeded #6 showing herself soft, sluggish, and barely able to survive the early rounds! She got it together by the time she got to Graf in the SF! It took 3 sets, but that was her last great major win, dropping final to Seles the next day! :fearful-face: :face-with-hand-over-mouth::face-with-tears-of-joy::shushing-face:

It was real class from Alja, she didnt think she could beat Serena
Serena has always had target on her back,I have never seen Ajla play this good. She is not going far, does she even have a title to her name.Australia is going to honor her with a medal for her efforts

She made the q/finals at Wimbledon this year, her game has improved heaps, you know all players bring their best tennis for Serena

I have always liked Garcia, she has come into her own this year, winning Cincy in style and now making the 4th rd of the USO, she has never done that before

Petra usually dies in he heat of NYC
I am still out on Vika
Sad but true about Muguruza. I keep holding out hope, though. I think I picked Iga in my draw, or maybe Ons.
