Another bore fest. Following that logic next SF should be completely opposite.
Felix wasn't able to mentally execute the game plan and tactical strategies that His team and Toni architected the past few days. Felix may regret this match, it was his easier path to the semi's. Something about the last weekend that he can't mentally conquer.

I wonder how long FAA/Toni will last? This was the complete opposite of the point-by-point, let-the-bad-things-go mindset Toni instilled in Rafa.

Maybe McEnroe could teach him how to move his serves and hit his spots. Sampras's serve was power but could hit his spot. The rest of those guys were just servebots. When Roger is 60 he can still return their serves when they were in their prime. A great serve is one that you can hit under pressure and hit your spots also. Felix should be serving and coming forward to set up his combo. Felix should be serving and volleying now..what in the heck does he has to loose.
What's wrong w/ him becoming a servebot when it's the weakest part of his game.

Name the last Servebot to win a grand slams..Andy Roddick..he wouldn't have never won that match if Roger was in his draw at that time. The game has changed, Servebots are ancient and prehistoric.

But if he added servebot to his already well rounded game, he would almost be unplayable.

It's not Toni fault, it's Felix's head. Toni can't fix his head overnight, it takes time. Hopefully Rafa will be back and Felix most likely not be making anymore semi's of GS until he gets more experience and confidence. Daniil's game today wasn't anything extraordinary today. Felix pretty much deflated and dismantled himself. Look at Leylah, she wants to win and believes she can whip anyone's beat game. Felix is not there yet. IMO

I thought Medvedev would win.....I went for a run at the beginning of the 3rd set.

I hope Medvedev sits down with his coach and actually has a 'game plan' if he is to play Novak in the final
Not like the the weak performance he put in at this year's AO final.I know Medvedev has the game to give Novak trouble.
BTW we know he go the distance in a final at the USO

I don’t think it’s Toni’s fault, either. I’m just wondering if FAA is capable of the mindset to become a true champion. I mean, he’s what? 0-8 or 0-9 in finals, without even winning a single set?

Well at this point, Medvedev better keep it together. He has a great opportunity. If he faces Zverev, I hope he destroys him. If he gets Djokovic, he has a good opportunity given the immense pressure he will feel to get this.

Maybe I not explaining my thoughts.. servebots serves can be timed. Whereas a player like McEnroe and Sampras's serves are set up for them to move forward to take control of the front court. Your boy toy Matteo's serve is more of servebots variety. He wastes a great first and second service by not following it to the net. Felix's serve and movement is more suited to follow to the net to shorten the points to put pressure on a good returner like Daniil or a great returner like Novak. I absolutely guarantee that Sascha's team had advised him to come forward afterwards his serve. His big brother is an above average serve and volleying player. Heck, that's all big brother does. I hope this clarifies what my thoughts are with Felix's serve and head.

I would favor Sascha's game if he beats Novak.

Felix's record on Friday, Saturday and Sunday has got to be horrendous.

Current ranking for FAA was 15,hopefully my maths are correct he could jump to No 12
Even though Ruud made the q/finals in Canada and Cinncy this year,2,570 of his 3,440 points were earned on clay.
