I NEVER expected a deep run in NY for the Croiat
Well these HC suits Borna's game, I hope it is only a precautionary, wearing a foot brace, he must of picked up a niggling injury from playing qualifies then going into the main draw at Cinncy, then all the way to the final
Just saw Borna practice with The Young Greek, his movement appears okay

I like Borna's game better than Denis the Canadian menace

I dont think Borna will go deep either,, after playing Cinncy and winning, wondering if he can keep up his high level at the USO, he showed at Cinncy, I guess we shall see.
Best of 3 format is not as mentally and physically draining as best of 5 format. It may catch up to Borna .

Yep, still this young man has battled back, not many players especially having shoulder surgery, can find their good 1st serve like Borna has, his serve was 'on fire' in Cinncy,, all credit to him.

Exactly why I said Dr. Fronty should challenge his pee sample again.. Dominic is no where near his top form but Borna has successfully "cycled" to the top in Cincy tournament

Stop it with the 'pee sample' lol! give credit to Borna? Dominic is no where near his form of 2 years ago, though he has Jez Green on trial as his trianer, one of the best trainers on the ATP tour, he used to be Zverev's trainer, aside from the fitness factor, Dominic to me is still wary on his fhand side, maybe the wrist factor is on still on his mind at present.

I love Ben Shelton. I also love Sebastian Korda. I hope they both do really well. I know this is Ben's first USO. I think he is amazing and is going to rise to the top pretty quickly. I really think Sinner and Tsitsipas have a good chance of reaching the final.

Kiss of Death! ;) They might go out in their openers now! WOW! Ya never know these days! Without Fedovic, it's another empty major! I felt the same way a few years ago w/o Fedal, but for their fans Novak was DQ'd in the Qtr's! Wimbledon win saved his whole season!:shushing-face: :fearful-face::astonished-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

I am Italian and after watching Sinner lose to FAA in Cinccy, one of the worst games he has ever played I dont think so,not this year anyway .
The Young Greek hasnt got the mental ability, did you see what he did against Borna Coric in the 1st set of the final at Cinncy he lost the plot, he hasnt been the same player to me, since he lost to Novak at RG when leading 2 sets to love and lost

I do know about the kiss of death, but actually I am not expecting the whole sha-bang for Shelton and Korda. I just want them to make a good run in the tournament. I think is is really possible for Korda, but Shelton even though he has the talent it may be tough.

Sinner is weird, he can look great for a period of time and then collapse hard. If he can keep it together for a good run he can get there. It would be interesting to see a SF between him and Nadal. Yep, I saw Tsitsipas and he is another with major talent but his mental side flies out the window really quickly. He looked really tough when he beat Medvedev in the SF and then just the complete collapse in the 2nd set in the final against Coric. It doesn't make sense with him because he has tremendous talent.

I am happy that Sinner has now Darren Cahill as his coach, look what Darren did for Amanda, who I know is one of your favorite players, Sinner has had injuries this year, which hasnt helped his cause and also COVID, Sinner needs to go to the gym and get strength training and putting on some muscle, probably now in the off season.
Our game today is 80% mental you can have all the shots in the world, though if your mind wanders, there goes your game, which is exactly what happens to The Young Greek.

Stefanos defeating Daniil may have more to do with their respective match-ups! I hate to use the term "pigeon," but it does exist! Going back to the 70's, Laver aging still had no trouble defeating his pigeon, Arthur Ashe! Novak has many considered pigeons, but has surrendered a few important events to them (Del Po, Wawr., & Murr.) over the years! A few others (Cilic, Berdych, & Monfils) he barely drops sets to! :fearful-face: :face-with-hand-over-mouth::yawningface::face-with-tears-of-joy:

I read that Nick K would not mind losing early at the USO so he can go home, well Nick you are scheduled to play both singles and doubles, typical Nick K talking to the media lol!

You are a good fan then, sticking with Amanda, her game suits the HC
It does suit the hard courts. If she can keep the errors down she can do it. She has to beat Iga though along the way. I'm also going upset with the Men's draw and sticking with my guy Sebastian Korda all the way over Jannik Sinner.

Well I hope Seb is over his injury which forced him out of Wimbledon this year, he has a lot of talent ,like his dad who won the AO .
