Has anyone mentioned that the guy Alcaraz is playing is the younger brother of Guillermo Coria?
Jimmy Arias did he was commentating on the match, he said the younger brother felt pressure, of his older brother, he has his BPs chances against Alcaraz today though could not convert

I have to say Brandon Holt didn’t look too shabby. Definitely needs some match play to start making a dent on tour.

I don't think I'd remember that one since I wasn't born until 2007. :lol6:
For a quick bit of history/context, Guillermo Coria was the best clay-courter for a time, prior to Rafa. He was favorite in the 2004 RG final, and collapsed v. Gaudio, and both fairly fell off the map after that final. Rafa took over clay right after.

Then I was born in 2007 and Rafa took over on Clay. :lulz1:

It’s a shame Coria collapsed because he had a pretty solid game. He was even making huge progress on hard courts at the time.

Goodness me Gasquet is losing his hair, hardly any on top, he will play the winner of Rafa and The Fog next match

It was a shocking collapse. And neither Gaudio nor Coria featured much, after that. It really was like a hard line that differentiated the eras. The next year, Rafa won, with his SF v Federer being the de facto final, and Coria and
Gaudio were a distant memory, never really to do much again. Rafa changed the landscape on clay, but it mattered that Coria and Gaudio both fell off the map.

If it is Rafa he plays there will be two players going thin on the top of their heads. :lulz1:
They are very good friends as well, both need to see a hair transplant specialist :) they are only young, Rafa parents hair is thick, I have seen Gasquet mother at a tennis tournament her hair is thick as well
