Hope Ana can make a match of it.

Ana has overstayed her welcome.. Vika will make her wished that she had a requested a late checkout time

:laydownlaughing So true! I'm surprised Ana made it this far.

I actually really like Ana and her game. I wish she would find it again and do well. We need more players competing for slams. Ana could be one of those players if she ever got it together.

I don't dislike her, but I think she has psychologically collapsed beyond repair.

I don't know...I think she's mounted better come-backs that some of the shaky ones. Doubt she'll beat Azarenka, though. Halep- Pennetta could be interesting, and can Riske keep her run alive?

Halep will probably win that. Flavia is having a resurgence, but Simona has so much confidence right now.

Hantuchova had some hard-fought wins in her last two matches and won't go down without a fight, whereas I'm unsure about Riske...to me she lucked out with Kvitova who was obviously very sick. Think Hantuchova might take this one as she thinks it's her opportunity with Kvitova out.

Some have picked Halep as a dark horse. I'd be surprised if Flavia gets her. I suppose Riske will run out of luck, but am happy for her run.

Match I really want to see is the clash of the Italians
Vinci v Giorgi
I wonder if Giorgi can continue her dream run at the USO

There are some interesting prospects on the Monday draw. I will be focused on the Flavia, Simona match, to see if Flavia's charge will continue. Vast experience vs raw talent, makes for a possible exciting confrontation. The Giorgi vs Vinci matchup will also catch my attention. Totally enjoyed watching Giorgi a couple of nights ago. The tide has changed with Radwanska gone now, and Li looked so impressive against JJ tonight. I am glad I have gotten most of the usual long weekend chores taken care of as I will be couching it most of the day!
A little sidebar, ever since I said good luck to Maria Kirilenko at Eastbourne, she has really had a bad time of it! Did I jink her??:(

Before returning tomorrow to Canada from my vacation, a big BRAVO for Simona and hope she keeps it together tonight!

I like Giorgi, she looks hungry unlike some players like JJ and Sloane who seem just happy to made it to the 2nd week

Tented I always felt that Ana is way overrated.. I mentioned last month that due to no fault of her own, Ana was a beneficiary of lapse in the women's game when Safina was ranked number 1. Those days are past and the real cream has risen back to the top. I don't haven't either against her as a player but that serve she has is USTA 4.0 level at best

Maria K cracks the top 10 and collapses. It is the curse of having the bullseye on one's back when one is a top contender. Errani is feeling this pressure, and it looks like Maria K. is also feeling this pressure. So no Rubydo, you did not jinx her; it was her ranking, lol.
