Congrats to Anderson. He held on and makes his first ever Slam quarterfinal.

Season kind goes flat for Murray now.

Didn't win a single point in that tiebreaker ouch! Fed has to be somewhat happy.

Fed's probably been laughing since Murray lost two sets to Mannarino. For some reason it's taken this crap to get him fired up this tournament and he hasn't got away with it today against a guy playing out of his skin.

Murray could have played better but sometimes the other guy just finds his groove and that's what happened today... Anderson seemed to defend like Ferrer, volley like Federer and return like Djokovic for phases of the match... annoying but hey ho.

On the bright side, no more 2am bed times for me this week! Hope Roger can grab this tournament now.

OK Johnny Isner! Your turn!

Yeah, make it easy on Nole to complete another 3 Slam year and put his name up there with the greats twice! :dodgy: :p

Nah, the Alien posing as Cilic will beat Djokovic and take it all again before returning to his home dimension.

So much for Murray being the legit #2 by the end of the season! I was ready to coronate him! He blew it! :cover :p

A Davis Cup win would be nice. But this is a huge blow to Murray. AO final, FO and Wimby SF, two Masters titles, and now this? Ouch.

It would really be funny if Wawrinka passed him in Slam count by winning the USO.

Well it was good season so far for Andy (1 GS final, 2 SF, 2 masters 1000 on different surfaces that he won, etc) He will be ok and is actually improving ;)
Atleast he didn't lose to Fognini lol
Kevin on the other hand will be a serious problem for anyone if he doesn't collapse after this win...
And Tsonga too (didn't lose his serve yet). Maybe we will have 2014 reprise with another set of finalists ;)

Federer-Isner is going to be a snooze fest. I have no idea how Isner could possibly beat Roger, unless Roger does a 2013-style shank-fest.

I am not a fan of either Kevin Anderson or Andy Murray, but that was one of the most enjoyable matches I watched this year.

That was one hell of a backspin on the volley by Isner; it landed on Fed's side and jumped back to Isner's side to save a break point.
