Maria will eat dust today. Pova will get crushed by resurgent Caro.

Waiting to hear primal scream of death.

You should really try and stop jinxing her oponents. I start to think you are doing it in purpose :D
And yes, Simona was eaten for lunch and not the other way around as you have predicted

I did not predict any of Maria's previous opponents actually beating her (although I
did ardently root for each one of them). This is the first time at this tournament that
I am predicting that Dominatrix will be put to rest.

But, I do agree that my prediction with Halep was way off. I did not see that coming.

Stand out match has to be Sharapova v Woznicacki.

Caroline has been playing some really positive tennis the last few months, her serve has also improved.
Sharapova hasnt been playing well, she has been gritting her way through matches

I still feel Caroline can match Maria in the competitor stakes,I also think Caroline understands what she needs to do on court to win against Maria.

Caroline to win in 3 sets.

Caroline will not fold like a cheap tent the way the other girls are folding, once Dominatrix
starts to stare at them. I think Caro has definite advantage both in ground strokes and
in serve departments.

And I feared for Simona days before USO started, as I posted it here on the 21 of Aug, 4 days before the start.
I knew that "she got it all wrong" :(

Yea right.. Caro needs to stand up into her face and bully the bully. Is that clear?
If Caro is not up for the mental confrontation then she will lose.
Its not about tennis... As simple as that.

Screamer wants Caro's lunch money to buy something, Caro should take screamer's lunch money instead... Its just like in the schoolyard. Thats the level screamer reduces us to. Role model my @...

Thats what the ruling body of women tennis likes. They like schoolyard behaviour.
Much more stupid than Football (soccer) if you ask me... to think that tennis is considered an intelligent sport...:laydownlaughing
Its a joke

But can she match her in the cheating stakes? Thats the real question. You know exactly what I mean.
I had enough with hiding my thoughts.

Caroline will have the right strategy, she will have a good shot, that's for sure.
Question is, will Masha let her implement her tactics? I don't think so.
As much as I like Caro, I don't know if she can overcome a battle-tested Masha.
If the match goes to 3 sets, I give Caro very little chance.
My Pick:
Masha in 3

Early match is on, Sara started her pasta sauce, she wanted Croatian sausage as the main meat!

Sara takes first set 6-3 with one winner and one UE
Marijana made 17 winners and 24 UE

First set took 33 minutes.

Weather could be a factor, isn't this the first blazing sun middle-of-the day match for Maria?
Hope she's ready to run.
I look for Caro to keep the points as long as possible, squeezing the error out of Masha who will probably try to end points early.
Hoping for an interesting match.

Lucic-Baroni had a good shot of breaking Sara a second time for a commanding lead in the second, but it was not to be.
Sara held tough and took the game.
Ahead 3-2 in the second Marijana will serve.

Sounds right. This match is going to be all about Maria's error count (including double faults). She's going to be looking to hit a winner at every opportunity, while seeing yet another ball come back. If she's on, she'll win, because Wozniacki can barely define "winner".

Pova will try to yoyo Caro from left to right and vice versa. The funny thing is, instead of
getting annoyed, Caro will use it as a practice for her upcoming Marathon. So, eventually
Dominatrix will cough up an UFE. After this happens sufficiently many times, Caro will win.

Marijana took the 2nd set 6-2 thanks to her winners and less UE but the errors came back in the 3rd.
69 errors for Marijana, 84 points for Sara!

Sara takes deciding set at love and into the quarterfinals she goes, first to do so.

A disappointing end to MLB's run. She just could not make the necessary adjustments to Errani's game. Next round will see Errani exit.

I cant understand why players cant return Sara's serve,I know Sara puts a lot of spin and slice on her serve, still players should be able to adjust accordingly.
