Very impressed by some of Roger's returns today. He will need them in the upcoming rounds because his mind is wandering more on some of his own service games these days, out of nowhere.

I was about to comment on exactly the same thing. It was a strange match indeed, but the returns were very, very good, specially the first returns. And Granolers doesn't serve bad at all.

However, he gave up somewhere in the middle of the second set (!), what took away all the fun.

I don't think he "gave up". I actually think Marcel played good. There is not much he
can do when the winners keep coming. Fed had 57 winners today.

IMO, Granollers played much better than what the score indicates even when restricted
to the last three sets.

Well, "gave up" might be a bit too much, but he surely lost intensity. Yes, credit to Federer, who was all over the place since the return from the rain break (apart from the bad serving game to lose the first set).

What is going on here. Goffin bagelled Grigor.

This guy had a 35 match or something like that fairly recently (although mostly in other worlds).

Well Grigor came back in the 2nd but he needs to tighten up and maybe lose some extra Russian baggage to regain some focus ;)

Dimi begins the third set with a break. I think he found his focus.

What a volley to go up 40-0!!!

Monfils has been admirable tonight. He's a game away, and might even break Gasquet to get it.

I think Monfils will actually win the 4th round as well (independent of who it is against).

Good chance, if he plays like he did tonight. He's always performed pretty well at the USO, and I heard them say he hasn't dropped a set yet in the tournament.

Dimitrov seems to be imitating Fed in this first set.

He is doing a good job of imitating even in the second and third sets. Babies are just like Dads.

It ain't over until the lean man Goffin (not fat lady) sings.

Or until Nalbs hits a "tweener".
