Robredo appears to be more successful in his second life than in his first life.
If you spend a good part of your young life being told tennis is (almost) everything and that winning is preeminent - you will feel a lot of pressure out there in your matches. In the big moments the waves can feel insurmountable and your game suffers.
Then you face real adversity and realize that life is not about tennis, or winning. It changes the way you perceive as well as the way you approach things.
Tommy is much more settled, much more poised. You can see it on his face that he's been through the battles. And you can see it in the way he plays the game that he's in the match. He may not win, but you know he will throw everything he has at you and that he will not beat himself.
