Fair enough. Hopefully he pulls it out and can heal in a few day.

Edit: Forgot the all important "it", pulls out makes it sound like hopefully he quits.
Tbh: 'i hope he pulls it out' sounds like something else to me ;) (and yeah, i think it's perfectly adequate to break a near hiatus from the board for a post like this ;)) .

My stream was fubar from uploading so missed the end but knew Haase would choke it away anyway. Good for Murray, another bad loss for Haase.

Well done there Andy. It sounds like the kind of injury that shouldn't affect his chances of playing in the second round, definitely a strange one though. Bachinger should be a decent match up for Andy to play himself into the tournament after today.

Given the routine disposal of Stepanek I'd say Bachinger is playing rather well!

Do you know much about Bachinger? I wouldn't know him if I passed him on the street.

Absolutely nothing at all but Stepanek's a very good player to beat 6-3 6-2 6-2! I actually think Vesely might really challenge inconsistent Wawrinka and wouldn't surprise me if he won.

Vesely is certainly a bit of a talent. If Stannis has one of his wobbles he often spirals into capitulation if his opponent can sustain the pressure on him. Could be an interesting match.

Stepanek and Benneteau are both out, along with Youzney! Wow!

I've never heard of him to be honest. If Murray is fit enough to play the rest of the tournament I'm not going to worry about this guy just because he beat Stepanek.

In general I agree, but unfortunately the "if" part is looming large if Murray is injured.

I agree, it is surprising to see Stepanek go down so badly in straights to someone no one has heard of.

That would be humiliating if Stan lost in the first round, as he did at RG. Wins Australia, then loses in the first round in two out of three of the remaining majors. :nono

Popsicle/Bolelli 2-2 in the decider. This could be a nailbiter like Benneteau/Paire

Really not sure what to make of the Murray match as I didn't get to see it. Just glad he won.

Stan wins the first set 6-2, not looking like much of an upset there.

4-3 to Stan now and on serve. It's best of 5. A long way to go for Mr. Inconsistency Wawrinka.
