Med has that little bit extra when it comes to experience & probably paced himself well to finish off the whipper-snapper from Greece!
At their age, 2 years more on the tour means quite some experience. I am not afraid for Stefanos. This is his first year only on the main tour.

Nadal and Novak having a conversation probably more interesting and logic than the comments of some posters around here

Novak: Damn shot clock, I cannot bounce more than 5 times these days.

Rafa: Tell me about it, I don't have enough time to pick my ass.

Yes I think he will be fine, this feels like his first "bad" loss in awhile. I do think his mind is the strongest attribute for now, when his all-around game starts to click more he will be deadly. He's got plenty of work to do but I sense he is the ambitious kind.

I see the winner of Stan-Milos may get Isner. I think poor Stanimal is likely to be serve-botted out of New York by one of them :(

Well, what I’ve seen in the previous match as fast he serves as better he does :good:

Del Potro through his first match and a half has been playing incredibly. Also De Minaur looked super impressive in the first round. Does anyone think Delpo could challenge Rafa in a rematch of the US Open semi. I think he has a chance to really push Rafa.

Yikes Thiem and Johnson in a 5th out there!!! Hope they're careful bringing their internal temps down when Thiem wins this.

I’m watching it live and he is playing very well, but he won’t really beat Nadal. Only an inform Fed or Djoke can do that

I hope Delpo doesn't even make the semis. He's forever a bit overrated and his backhand is too weak for him to compete with Nadal in a big match. If he couldn't beat the grass weakling at Wimbledon he isn't beating him at any other major.

Time for bed but hoping Verdasco finishes the job with moping Murray. Good riddance. First and last time hoping a Spanish player wins.
