You had me until Nadal making the final! I won't even hazard a guess how, but history has told us, this dirt-baller has never defended a title off clay! It's the strangest anomaly known to tennis of a so called GOAT! Too strange for words! :nono:  :banghead: :negative:

Not even a mickey mouse 250 and it's one of the main reasons he should NOT be considered a GOAT candidate on anything but clay.

In the USO Nadal beat Delpo who had beaten Federer and in the final he beat Anderson who also has beaten Federer in Wimbledon....nah they are not nothing......:lol6:B-)
Meanwhile Federer beat Cilic with a horrible blisters in his feet in Wimbledon 2017 and in the AO 2018 a very poor Cilic who can get a few finals but usually to lose

The same very poor Cilic who beat Nadal at the AO so wtf is your point exactly?

Just like to point out that Del Potro hasn't been an elite player or even very good for years now and Federer had a bad back since Montreal. This is not an excuse btw but a fact, however, the main reason Federer lost is he played the big points badly. And losing to Anderson was a very bad loss for Federer who had 2 match points. Just be thankful your fisherman beat him returning serve from New Jersey.

The same Cilic who beat an injured Nadal who couldn't play later in IW, Miami and Acapulco because his injury, try to get better information!

Cilic was kicking his ass anyway and signing up for Acapulco was moronic to begin with. Kinda strange how Nadal is never injured for clay season and he wasn't gonna win IW or Miami anyway.

Really do not understand how Milos lost the third set 6-1 but good for him to close it out in 4.
Looks like Stan means business.
I was wondering about the same thing regarding Milos's 3 set

Murray lost the first set in a TB to Duckworth. The Aussie is ranked 400+, Andy is 300+.

Let’s hope the pattern continues, and Nadal doesn’t defend here.

Yeah I don't even have a good feeling about Roger making the QF here. If he does and Djoker somehow loses early then he could win this whole thing. But I don't see how he gets past Djokovic without playing way way better than we've seen the past 6 months.

So that leaves the main rooting interest of someone ridding this tournament of the Nadal stench.

Hope Khachanov can denadalize the draw before the topspin virus spreads.

That boy is too erratic. Nads will stand a mile behind the baseline on return and wait for the errors to pile up. It'd take a huge upset for Nadal to not make the finals, we have to hope someone will make NYC great again by beating him in the finals.

Watching Wawa/Dimi live on Ashe. Some pretty shots but Grigor is so disappointing

This is one of those statistical anomalies. As I posted earlier, off clay Nadal is an opportunistic hunter. This by itself may not mean much because his staple has been clay. OTOH the entire tour is an opportunistic hunter on clay.. Who else on the tour at the moment, apart from Roger and Novak, has defended *any* tournament and how many? I can't think of a single example, at least ATP 500 and above....scratching my head.

Edmund out. Nadull's rigged draw got easier if that was possible.

He was injured in RG 2016 and after to win the first two matches he had to withdraw and he couldn't play in Wimbledon either

One of the reason that Nadal has not defended titles in HC and grass it's because his injuries (2009, 2012, 2014, 2016)
Hope this time he will
