I really don't get the continual dropshots. WTF.
When was the last time we saw Roger miss a smash?
He's tired mate, not feeling his legs - that's the only explanation I can think of. They've been lame all day.
Let's see...
Moxie goading Fedfans and getting her digs in, while feigning innocence...
Fiero referencing matches before many of us were born...
DarthFed verging apoplexy...
Tennis Frontier as usual.
Millman did nothing really. If you watched the end of the second set you would know why. Roger was 40-15 up, serving for the set and missed sitters to win the set and then got broken. Millman became more confident, and began to play freely after the second set.but is that what actually went down or did Millman do enough to dig in and turn the match around? Hey i wanna see Roger prevail but at least i am reasonable minded. Milman hung in there and fought his way back and deserves credit for that. Fed can still turn this thing around and win in Five. If not then good on Millman and not only that we could be seeing the making of australia's next great champion, but a new and consistent competitor for men's tennis, one who can give the game a real shot in the arm.
I love all the shots of the kids still in the stands. NYC has nothing if not fun/irresponsible parents. Technically, they start school tomorrow.

How did Millman put pressure on Roger when he missed those volleys at 40-15 up? Roger simply imploded. That's one way to win. Put pressure on your opponent to fuck up. Wait for opportunities.
Many Federer fans think that the only proper way to win is through clean winners. Not saying you believe this, but what you're saying has shades of that view.
