2 seeds in trouble. Fritz and Karetsev are both down 2 sets to love.
And both gone. Old man Kohlschreiber for the upset on Karatsev. @don_fabio were looking forward to the Rublev-Karatsev 3rd round, and now neither one of them makes it that far. SMH.

I am also in disbelief. Rublev - Karatsev match seemed like a safest bet.

Three more seeds left today, not counting the above two. They are La Monf, Bailashville and D-Minor.

While those may be considered upsets, none of those is a complete surprise.

Davidovich Fokina upsets Casper Ruud, who actually won more games.
Oh Casper....

7-6,2-6, 7-6,0-6,7-5
A genuine coulda, woulda, shoulda match.

Some guys just play better being underdogs. If, for instance, he met Thiem as we all tought would be then he would probably play lights out tennis.

My man Fognini also lost to Delbonis in straights. He just too unpredictable, always wins when you don't expect him and vice versa.

I am not trying to rub salt in the wound. But, despite the rankings, today's result would definitely qualify as an upset.
It's pouring salt in the wound but it's actually justified..We are going to learn a lot about team Nadal and Charlie Moya . Carlos has been very good for the second half of Rafa's career. They know this was more than the "one " that got away but rather the one that was took away by a player who played like " someone was stealing food off his plate." Not only was Novak was the better player but he executed the better tennis..

Today, Novak tactical approach was to attack the CC BH instead of the FH of Nadal's. It wasn't sharp today and with a less than average serve, Rafa's confidence was crushed. I'm not saying that it's was ufes but the match was played on Novak's terms.

Only the 3 loss in 106 matches. There's no known injuries to Rafa's body so yes this is considered an upset.

I agree def an upset. Beating Nadal at RG is the definition of an upset.
