Little late in opening this thread as I was travelling during the memorial weekend. Anyway, right now an upset is brewing. Stakhovsky seems to be interested in sending Deliciano into early retirement.

Upsets already happened; Sock taken out by Zopp. Ferrer got upset as well. Not sure whether we can call Kohly losing to Coric an upset (Coric was one of my dangerous floaters). Gulbis took out Muller. Did I skip any other upsets?

Deliciano gone in straight sets, ousted by Federer-Beater Stakhovsky.

Tomorrow Sasha is playing Lajovic. There is some chance of an upset here.

Also, Thiem is playing Tsitsipas. Another mild potential upset.

Both next gen stars would need to prove themselves in interesting encounters.

Gotta watch that one. Tsitsipas has a shot.
That's the match of the day tomorrow. Also, any chance Paire gets Nishikori? Home town guy, big game, and Nishi iffy?

Don't know about Paire, he always seems to lack a bit of bottle.
I'll just have to guess what that expression means, but I think he runs hot and cold. Lacking consistency, not firepower, though. So it was just a passing thought that he could have a good day, and if Kei isn't 100%.

Berdych lost to Chardy. I think it is officially time to declare Berdych as a spent force. I think it is safe to say that his good days are already gone by.

I did go 5, though.

I can't believe I went back and changed my draw, when I had Chardy beating him. I've thought he's gone way down for a long time. I never liked his game much, but he was very solid.

Of the 32 players who were "supposed' to reach the third round 22 made it. I think that is reasonable amount and a nice balance between seeding having meaning and everything being predictable.
