We may need this soon considering Vee is playing Bencic for the 2nd match in RLA.

This is your on-stop place for discussing projected / happening / wishful-thinking and all other upsets.

I have Vee getting past Bencic, but that is a little bit of wishful thinking. Bencic has looked solid of late.

The opening upset is that of Sloane. Sloane was serving for the match and lost the serve in the second set, then she lost the TB of the second set and then the third set and match to Zhang.

Seven American Women lost so far (with no wins so far for them). Three of them (Venus, Coco and Sloane) are upsets. The others are Cici, Riske, Townsend and Sofia.

Belinda continues to impress with straight set win over Venus.

Coco losing is the biggest upset of them for me

Babos beating this Coco is not really a surprise for me, i mean Babos is a decent tennis player and this Coco, well, i don't know much about her but sounds like some chick from the brothel :p

No one mentioned it, but Petra went out last night to Petko 10-8 in the decider

Good mention. I was trying to watch it, but they kept showing Federer routing Bedene, even at the tail end of it. That's a shame. Then I went back to bed without properly complaining or calling out the Petko win. From what I saw, it was one of the better matches of the tournament, so far. I like Andrea, so I'm happy for her. Rough first round for Kvitova, and tough way to lose it.

Bencic, who took out V, went out meekly today to Kumkum of Thailand. Kumkum has caused upsets in the past too.

If you got watchespn on computer, you can choose whichever match you want to watch without interruption. If you see in the old fashioned TV channel, you are at their mercy of whatever they want to show you.

I told ya'll Belinda wasn't going that far, but nobody ever listens to me. :nono:
:lulz2:Benic does the classic: pull off the upset, and crash the next round. You did call it, K.

Yes, I had the option, but I'm lazy at 4am. It's still wrong they didn't show the more interesting match, for the few games that would have made the difference.
