Fog is on an amazing roll, just shows what confidence can do. It would be an awesome achievement to win 3 tournaments in as many weeks and it would put him at #14

Can anyone remember the last time someone won 3 tournaments in 3 weeks?

I would think the obvious places to start looking would be either Djokovic in 2011, or most any of Rafa's clay seasons, but I'm not sure if they were, with either of them, in consecutive weeks.

This turns out to be a great event in the end, despite the elimination of the top seed Gasquet:

SF: Fognini - Monfils
Robredo - Seppi

The kinds of tournaments they play would have at least one week off at some point.

Even 2005 Nadal on clay?

He has 2 in a row twice that year: Brazil/Acapulco and MC/Barcelona, no 3.

F3 still rollin'! Def. Monfils in the first SF: 6-0, 3-6, 7-6(3).

EDIT: Just read that he was up 5-0 in the third set and ended-up having to save three match points. Kinda glad that I didn't get to watch it! Probably would've been fun to watch for someone with no "horse in the race", what with two of the biggest "drama queens" in tennis going at it.

I hope he goes all the way -- again. This will be incredibly impressive if he can pull it off.

You are a sneaky fella :p F3 annoyed the hell out of me....and you should be the one sweating for him!!! He was in full drama mode alright. I just hope Seppi can turn his match around and make it to the final - all Italian one, that would be nice. :D

I didn't watch the match but when I read how it unfolded, I thought Haychew must have run out of diapers, it's good he didn't see it then:D

He plays Robredo next who battled through Seppi in a tough one as well, so it is the player du jour against the Tommy the comeback man, either way, they deserve lot of applause, :clap

Agreed, herios! I don't know who to pull for now...though I think the Velvet Fog will take it.

(Good to see you around, btw, Billie!)

I still can't think of anyone who has done it, but maybe it won't matter after today because we'll know the answer.

Fognini drops set 1 at love? Anybody watching is he exhausted or classic headcase issues?

I was shocked to see the scoreline, and rather shocked that Tommy won it, but I'm thrilled for him. So pleased that he's made such a comeback. Probably even 6 months ago I wouldn't have bet he'd win another tournament. May watch the replay this evening.

LOL!!

Ahh, I wanted Fognini to win it, but he was mentally drained after that match with Gael. Again, Tommy plays the spoiler!! Good win for him!!

Congrats to Robredo. I like him. Too bad the win was at the expense of F3. Still...Two out of three ain't bad!
