Top seed Paire was eliminated by Troicki, who is really low ranked these days, at 193.
This event has one of the weakest field in an ATP event, with only one player ranked in the top 40.
That was Paire, who now is gone.
Big opportunity for those who are still standing.

Troicki the Mysterious is still wandering around. (Speaking of Ancient Mariners, I saw that Robredo won a match in a clay challenger today.)

More so, Tommy Robredo won a Challenger title last week, also in Italy.

And the week before in Poland. He is doing something that Youzny did in Asia challenger swing a year or so ago. Won 3 challengers in a row, something like that. While Youzny retired, Robredo is still alive and kicking at 37. Not bad at all considering he is doing this on clay.

I'm rooting for Kecmanovic. Troicki is basically done.
I watched him last week against KK in Halle. He gave russian all sorts of trouble in the first set. I was impressed with what I saw. A guy is very solid for his age and should have a bright future ahead.

We need a simple name for k------------vic. I make you in charge of coming up with one despite me having no authority to do so.

His official nickname written on ATP page is Misha, hm, this reminds too much of Mischa Zverev. Maybe he could be the The Catchman, just a suggestion, while looking for the meaning of it I found there is some british comics called Candy and the Catchman :-)2

Kecmanovic is just beating Troicki with a set and a break in the second set. There is not a single soul in the audience in this tourney.

If you are lazy to type Kecmanovic, you could use Miomir.
It is short and most importantly unique.

Thompson is really sweating like crazy. He got a medical timeout and the guy is checking his blood pressure. He doesn't look well and is lying on the floor now with legs up. Temperatures are too high for tennis the whole week in Turkey.

Are you watching? The Tennis Channel is showing Eastbourne, but I see on the live scores that Sonego is up 6-3, 5-5.
I was not watching, just checked the result.
The match got interrupted yesterday at 5-5 in the second set.
I see that Sonego won the match when they resumed.
So the final will be the one I wanted. :)

Intriguing final. Neither of them was there before. Two relatively unknown players on the tour.
