You edited it yourself before anyone commented, but I saw it and actually tried to get him back on the list. It would never have been me to push him off. LOL.
Yes you are correct..I should have just been AP not PC AP.. I will update and give him his proper ranking.

Novak goes to the top of the list. A pure embarrassment to everyone who EVER supported him. To throw your rackets into the stands against the same player PCB when he got disqualified for striking a lines woman in the throat.

Here's the updated list

1)Novak
2) F3
3) Medvedev
4)Paire
5). Nicky

Thank god there were no fans. Now, they should consider banning fans in all matches involving Novak for their own safety.

The stands will be packed in NY to witness history; just like in 2015 for Serena who was on the cusp of greatness! Novak has a little time to digest this week's events and hopefully will be ready to take on all the naysayers wishing ill on him to stop this CYGS!

Novak needs to be suspended for a few months..if it was Kygrios he would have been suspended until November

Yeah, that'll happen! For the embattled Fedal fan, I guess that's one way to hold onto some semblance of parity amongst the Big 3! :dance2:
Exactly, it won't. He doesn't even get cited at the first infraction of racquet abuse. (Neither when he launched his racquet into the empty stands v. PCB the other day, nor when he trashed a racquet v. PCB at the USO last year.) I wonder how the locker room is feeling about these obvious examples of the #1 getting a pass that they never would have gotten? Let's see how Novak keeps "handling" the pressure in the next few weeks, and how the powers that be react if he continues to throw tantrums.

I too think it should not be left to the discretion of the umpire to decide whether to give a warning or not. When there is a clear case of racquet abuse, umpires should be required to give a warning immediately independent of the player involved.

I feel the same way about time violation also. Often they give free pass and suddenly enforce. This is not the way to elicit good behavior.

But, this is even more important for racquet abuse.

I agree that umpires still wield power unevenly, and decision-making is not completely codified, though I'm not sure if it can ever be made 100% even, if humans make the decisions, and I'm not against that. I think there should be a chair umpire, and they should have some discretion. I wouldn't make a 1:1 comparison of slow-play and petulant on-court behavior, though you aren't completely doing that. Of course there can be gamesmanship in slow-play. But there is also a lot of long rally play in modern tennis, and a bit of extra time can be granted. However, poor on-court behavior is against the spirit of tennis, which has always prized itself as a "courtly" sport. (I chose that word over "gentlemanly," but you get the idea.) I don't see any reason for ignoring a first infraction of racquet abuse/foul language/ball abuse, when it is flagrant and obvious to everyone.

Thanks Moxie

I think this is a good topic because unlike the 80s when you just had two or three rogue Villains ( Mcenroe and Connors).. today's ATP has a list of rogue Villains that would make the cape crusader Batman to say "Damn" , Gotham isn't this bad.

1.Benoit Paire (The Joker)..Is probably the most noticed because every match he seems to be the architect of his own demise. Benoit is a ball striker who hits the ball beautifully but unlike Rafa, Paire takes way too many points not too seriously.
2.FF3. (The penguin) he has all the shots but is just a brutality mean spirited adolescent.
3. Daniil Medvedev (The Riddler) he has everything to win numerous grand slams but just can't stay out of his own way. I think he relishes being a bad guy. E.g. Scarface
4. Nick Krygrios (Bane) most certainly should be rank higher on the list due to having the tennis skills blessed by the tennis Gods..This young man is definitely a player who most likely suffering from bipolar symptoms. Another player who can’t get out of his own way. He blames everyone ( umpires, linesman, fans )for his poor results in grand slam results when it’s his off the court lifestyle and lack of atp level commitment to training which is issues. He amazes you with his tennis which is probably the most sublime on the tour until the boogeyman appears to show him how to snatch defeat from a sure victory.
5. Bernie Tomic..(the Scarecrow) just a kid who someone told the world he was projected to be the next best thing ..too bad that someone was another bad “Daddy”.. his father John..

Honorable mentioned..Novak Djokovic ( recent antics and his big mouth daddy).
1. Novak leapfrog the entire tour to claim the #1 spot. Nuff said. ( I tried to keep him off because he is part of the three headed GOAT)
2. Daniil has been acting ass for quite a while now. Just when the fans try to began to like him, he picks fights foolishly with Umpires because he feels they are too soft dealing with a full house crowd. He obviously has no desire to be the next beloved and would prefer if the tennis community to kiss the back of his shoes and backside ( I'm being nice today because it is Sunday and I just came from church).
The rest can fall in line and stay the same.

More great madness. I think in Karen's match. The umpire was the villain. Worst call since Serena and Jenny C US open match.

Now I know why Cario lost RG and what inspired JG to kick his butt.

1)Novak

5). Nicky
1) Zverev (biggest leap EVER from outside of top ten to Numero Uno).
2) Novak's drama continues
3) Medvedev
4) Nicky... something is going to happen tomorrow vs Rafa
5) Rafa's foot ailments..may potentially ruin Rafa's fans year if it flares up again.

Everyone else such as Paired and F3 have been good boys over the past 6 months and may soon exit the naughty list

I read back over this thread, and Zverev not being on it, while a big oversight, was mostly because it was created before the abuse allegations, and his subsequent horrible behavior. I know we've mostly been tiptoeing around the domestic abuse allegations around here, which I don't mind, as there's not much to say, other than what we mostly have, which is, where is the ATP investigation on this? I'm fairly certain there is something in the rules about off-court behavior. (@tented is very good with the rules...maybe he can tell find it.) Anyway, now he's on "probation," so I guess he deserves the #1 slot.

I agree with #2 and #3, but I think, if you're going to let Paire and F3 off on good behavior, you should Nick, too, and he's played a lot more than those 2 have. Rafa doesn't get to be on just because his foot is giving you fits as a fan.

I'm sure Margaret is going to want a recount on Stephanos Tsitsipas, though. For me, if only for hitting his own father with his racquet.

Rafa didn't make it in the list, but his foot ailments did because it's the unknown at this point. All the commentators are going to do is talk about his foot for the rest of his career. It's gonna be speculation about his health instead of his excellent tennis play. My fear is that Rafa makes it to the later rounds like he did last year at RG and unable to play at his highest levels.

Put this in the hopper: This is how Tsitsipas reacted to losing to Brooksby, from The Express (UK) #crybaby #excuses:

But the Greek star was not complimentary of Brooksby in defeat, claiming that the American didn't do anything special to win the match as he said: "He's not explosive, but he's able to get balls back. He's not so athletic, as well. He's just able to read the game well, play with his pace, play with the opponent's pace and stay consistent. He has nothing that kills, I would say."

The seven-time title winner also hinted that he thought Brooksby's performance came down to luck as he added: "The amount of net cords he hit, was able to bring into the other side of the court, that's for sure. I think that's an incredible skill. And I don't know what else," but the world No 43 admitted he was happy to keep his strengths a secret from top players like Tsitsipas.

Not so very sportsmanlike in defeat.

It's almost like clockwork these interviews, where player Y cannot believe he lost to player Z. These interviews fairly scream;" He's less talented then me!"
