I think Grigor will eventually win, but he is not ready for prime time yet; getting
there slowly though.

Milos will win Wimby.

Personally, I don't buy Raonic as a Slam winner, but why Wimbledon…the serve? Or because it seems more lately up for grabs?

Serve for one, shorter points also help him, plus he is not afraid to attack the net to shorten points even more...He plays strong TBs, that also helps. Of course there is a lot of wishful thinking on my part but also if things go his way, it does make sense somewhat...and like you mentioned, strange things have happened in Wimby recently, so who knows...

I agree with Murat. Milos is improving. There are very good signs, since he has been working with Ivan.
He is indeed shortening points, attacking the net, coming in behind his serve sometimes.
Also his BH became more stable. Ultimately, his ROS will improve too, then he will be ready for prime.
Already this year he has recorded back to back QF in the two American masters, and no matter how much love is there for Grigor, Milos is still the leader of the new generation.
I think both will be slam winners in the future in a few years, but the next one I think will be Tomas Berdych, he will sneak through somewhere in the next 2 years.

I don't see Berdy ever winning a slam. In fact, of the names mentioned, only Grigor strikes me as one with potential to face off against the best at the highest level, and that might not be for a couple seasons yet..

I just can't see Raonic having the movement for Wimbledon though. I actually think the US Open is his only chance to ever win a slam. It's fast, and his sub-standard movement won't be punished quite as badly

Milos time will come. I am a believer and he will prove many wrong.

Grigor, Berd, Raonic and maybe Jerzy are the only ones with any prayer on that list IMO. I think Grigor will win a slam/slams but the others seem unlikely but some of them are young and the guys on top right now are an "old" 26-27.

I went for sir grigor of dimitrov, a steadily improving allround game.

I had a thought for milos but his return game is still too feeble and he can get spooked if he gets his serve slapped back right to his feet..

^ Plus Raonic's backhand is a pile of $h1t. Won't be winning any slams till he seriously improves that.

I also feel like the big servers put so much strength into there serves and movement that they punch themselves out often in best of 5 match.

It's tough to use that big frame over long matches.

I too don't think Milos will ever win a slam, if not for all of the legitimate reasons that
learned folks suggest above, at least because I don't like him. :snigger

Unfortunately that last part hasn't stopped a certain Island Boy from gathering 13 slams and counting :nono

There is so much misconception out there. I don't like Nadal's game. However, I don't dislike
Nadal as a person.

But it is another story w.r.t. Milos. I do dislike Milos as a person (sorry, Milos.
hope one of us change someday).

Is that because of him touching the net last year against DP? I must say, his stock went down in that moment, even if it was a youthful indiscretion (to put it kindly)...

I should have been more clear as I was referring to myself.

I don't think you have to worry about Milos winning multiple slams but with that big game and the assumption he improves even just a little he could potentially surprise us and grab one in the future. It probably won't happen in the next couple years but after that who knows.
