Its a list of my magnificent seven. I know Sampras is a better player than Kuerten and Becker in terms of results but never warmed up to the guy.Ha! I think that's right. I love Kueten but he won 3 majors at the French only. To put him on and leave Pete off seems, well odd, anyway. If it's a list of favorites, it's one thing. If it's a list of greats, it's hard to leave Sampras off. And he is far from my favorite.
Yup, fair enough. Personally, I wasn't a fan of Pete, either. I didn't think about it being a list of completely personal choices. Its a list of my magnificent seven. I know Sampras is a better player than Kuerten and Becker in terms of results but never warmed up to the guy.

7 greatest? Laver, Federer, Borg, Gonzalez, Nadal, Rosewall, Sampras ... that kind of order for me, not based too heavily on numbers but also on perceived significance (couldn't comment on earlier than Gonzalez since they were too early for me).
great list.
thanks, i took consideration of Gonzalez, Laver and Rosewall winning a bunch of real slams at the time (Pro-slams where the best players actually played). I expect Djoko to knock Sampras off the list in a year or two at most, and think he could move higher when he retires.
