This thread has a strong tendency of belonging to other tennis forums on the net, if you know what I mean.. :D
I wont even start..
Anyway, I must say that this forum is a breath of fresh air on the Internet sports forums. Users understand that its like a safe clean "heaven". Thats why I am here. May it continue to keep its character and not go down like other forums did.
Its great that the "yellow tabloids" mentality is not endorsed here.
There are bigger forums, maybe "more exciting" but they are no fun at all. Just a one big sour taste for the normal tennis fan. This forum is different. Admins and Users, Please keep it this way.

Its just an overall observation, its not directed at this thread. :)
Oh I so agree with you! That is exactly why I'm here myself and I hope this Forum does remain "a breath of fresh air on the Internet sports forums".

Na Li didn't encounter a single top-20 player. Fixed!

Seriously? How did Li Na get there? She was not supposed to go to Serena, Maria or Vika and say to them, it is ok that you have lost, but I want to play you and beat you to prove that I have won the Australian Open. Li Na could only keep up her bid of being in the quarter-finals, where she was slotted to play Petra Kvitova (who did not keep up her bid by losing in the first round to Khum Khum), she reached the semi-finals where she was slotted to play Serena Williams (Serena could not make it out of the 4th round where she lost to Ana Ivanovic), and she kept it up by making the finals where she was slotted to play Vika (but Vika lost to Radwanska). So all she had to do was beat whoever was on the other side of the net and that she did, so taking anything away from her win is just insane.

and yes as a reminder if someone has forgotten, Li beat 4 top 10 players in succession, starting with Vika, Kvitova, Sharapova and Schiavone (if I am not wrong) to win her first major at RG 2011.
