At this point it's impossible to not predict Djoker as a huge prohibited favorite. It would take a Ra's al Ghul rising from the Lazarus Pit ( the red clay at Roland Garros). However, 2015 tennis year has been fiction, Rafa may bo longer be the non-fiction super human player on clay he has been over the past decade.

But, some grow five years older in an year. :laydownlaughing

Really? who?

Who else? Rafa! He's even losing hair; aging before our very eyes while Roger's feeding off energy Nadal's losing! I've been saying for years that when you play that type of defensive, hyper-counterpunching, it can only do your body 'in' well before it's time! I feel the same about Murray; esp. when these guys are taken to the limit by players we don't even know! Roger's been the best at saving his body, competitive spirit, and desire so he's gone longer than expected while other players a long younger are expiring before our very eyes! :cover :nono  :dodgy:

Well in fairness, Rafa is only showing physical wear and tear that other great players have shown, Sampras included. Federer is the incredible exception here, but we can't criticise Rafa for being only human... ;)

LOL what are you talking about? have you seen the Roger's face and arms these last years? he looks so old !!!!! Rafa has very fine hair (same like my brother who is older than Rafa) but he has still hair :ras:
And about saving his body, Roger should be very happy with his good luck because he make so much effort like anyone else though his fans like to think the he make it so "easy" yeah, sure
:laydownlaughing

To be through a bad time about his confidence it doesn't mean that he is physical down. Of course when the mind doesn't work so well the arms and legs neither at least temporary
He looks healthy now and if he keeps that way he will do better and better at least two or three more years ;)

This morning I was thinking about the French Open and found myself remembering.

It was 1988 and my friend Michelle had just bought a home in Reading, PA. I went to see her for the weekend and was sitting downstairs in the living room of her little row house near Albright College. A young Goran Ivanisevic was playing and hitting the fuzz off the tennis ball. I thought to myself that he might be pretty good one day.

And you tought he would go on to win Roland Garros one day? Can't people in this forum get one single prediction right?

Where the hell did you read that I thought he'd win RG?? He became a pro in 1988 and RG was the first time I'd seen him, and thought that he might be pretty good one day.

I didn't. You made a good prediction (as he became good enough to win a slam), and I took the chance to imply (knowing that it wasn't the case) that you "predicted" the wrong slam.

Don't take me that seriously.

P.S. I know that you told me about the emoticons, Tented. I'm stubborn.

Well Goran was definitely good enough to take out #2 Boris Becker in the 1st Rd back at 1990 French Open! I think they called it "Black Monday" losing both Boris and #1 Stefan Edberg (by Bruguera) on the same day! :eyepop :cover :nono
