I am good with Davis Cup, except I wish it was held every other year.

I am ok with it as is. I am ok with it being held every other year too.

But, I am against format changes to the DC that often gets floated about.
The idea is to have all players assemble at one place and get the entire
DC over with in a week instead of spreading it around the whole year.
I don't like that at all due to various reasons that I am not in a mood to
ramble out now.

Nothing new about it; format already in existance with the yearly "Nation's Cup!" The players complain about a long season, often excusing themselves from early rounds due to exhaustion; good idea really! It would make it more special if held every 2 years as well! "The Ryder Cup" in golf already employs that schedule! :clap

I'm with you…could be every year or every 2. I'm fine. But the idea of doing it all at once in one place completely spoils some of the things that I've said are good about DC, the most important being that it features lesser players in current format. If you consolidated it, and everyone went, how would any lesser players stand out?

I am in the same camp who considers DC could have a great impact on a players career.
On that note, I am very surprised people did not notice by winning the DC title, what bump gave Janko Tipsarevic in his career, I guess Djokovic surge overshadowed his.
When they won the DC , Tipsy was ranked 49 (highest ranked to that date was 34) and had no titles won.

The following year, he wins his first 2 titles and surges up to finish 2011 ranked 9. He will peak ranked 8 next year in 2012.
And that was definitely his peak, because now he is ranked 69.

69 is a good number to leave it at for Janko. Have you seen his wife ? :devil
