I'm not sure how many people on here originally posted on tennis.com forums - quite a few I think, but not sure who were in our number during the crazy days of a virtually unmoderated forum back in 07 to 09?

Off the top of my head, I recall @MikeOne , Illosophical/Pete, 10s4Life, nalbandcoria (later Derek Zoolander), wizard (Clay Death, hercules), Momoshiro, huntingyou, Tennis2006, crackbillionair, messagesent, Prangy, tylerk, "Roger", TheLogo and others....

It was a time of rife multi-ids, leftfield posts, crazy arguments but offset by some great humour thrown into the mix... Things got out of hand a little and the party was over early 09 (I think...) in what was known as the forum cull. Bannings and a new moderation policy put in place.

Anyone else around during that crazy time on that board... I used to laugh out loud at some of the posts :yahoo:

We need to bring Prangy back. He might have even grown some neurons, not to mention a strong right forearm after Serena being so much on TV.

I think it was before 2007. I used to call myself Nalbandcoria because both players were at the top, but Coria disappeared like in 2006. Not sure though.

So many years. So many hours wasted posting. Well, stolen from my employers at least.

I remember being "Prangy's father" as a multi-id on that board for a bit as well as a few other handles. I was a good boy after 2008.

Lol. Didn't you get banned for putting up an avatar of Stalin? Â as a way of sticking up two fingers at the admin... she didn't seem to have much of a sense of humour.

I remember the party ended when Pistola (big Sampras fan) hijacked the forum with about 10,000 posts... and somebody posted some personal stuff about Wizard working at Enterprise-Rent-A-Car.

That was the most hilarious story ever. I remember that week I was on vacations and didnt even look at the forum. When I am back, everything is changed, we had a dictator as admin and half of the posters were gone. Then I ask Crack or somebody else and I am told about the Enterprise job of a strange man who claimed he was rich and retired. I still laugh at the souvenir.

I was banned several times on different names, but yes there were lots of posting against Herself.

I remember threads about the MVP (p as in poster) and WVP with polls and so on. It was a jungle. I dont even know if we discussed about tennis, LOL.

We were young...

Huge poster, Prangy's Father. You may remember Gongozler or a similar name from Florida who would post photos of Prangy's WC with long toilette papers all over. The poor boy, we were really bullying him.

@Alien

Well there was a lot of sideline stuff but underneath all the comical antics, a lot of people did actually post some good shit about tennis. Crack reminded me of vegemite (like it or loathe it)... and went after a few people, but he did have a good take on tennis... as long as you weren't talking Nadal. I thought he was fricken hilarious at times... I guess he was just uncontrollable. But he wrote really well and was very entertaining.

Gongoozler was a fricken legend on those boards... I did have a to-and-fro email conversation with him a couple of years ago trying to get him to sign up to the Tennis Frontier. I guess I ended up getting marked as Spam... B-) but he was one of my favourite posters on that board. Â Funny as... and he was getting into Pickleball and that stuff after a heart attack... and he was merciless in his approach to "Prangy".

Yes he was (talking about crackbill). He had a blog, like //crackbillionair.wordpress.com, and then he sent me a full chapter of a book he was writing. But he didnt even play tennis I think. He loved to write and fight online. He was a S&V fan as well. I lost contact some years ago. WIld guy.

I think I remember he said his old man used to take him to the US Open as a kid and he caught the bug. Big McEnroe fan if I remember rightly... and I think he did play tennis and took his kids down, but not too seriously (a bit like me)...

Those were the days of the Sampras/Fed fan wars... and he was kind of caught between two stools because he liked them both. I think @huntingyou was about the only Nadal fan on the boards in those days. Although, thinking back, wizard/Clay Death/hercules was another.

@MikeOne was another big character, "Roger" was fricken hilarious.. and so was Illosophicall (Pete). "I'll hit you out of the park like pujols" and all that other rap stuff... laugh a minute.

The Funniest multi-id I had fun with on that board was a character I created called "Cyborg" who was an elderly "impartial" former tennis coach refereeing the Sampras/Federer wars.... basically awarding everything to Federer. I even found myself laughing at my own jokes. sad but true.

Hey Alien, Didn't you set up an account as "Prangy's Mother" or was that somebody else?

It's still going... just in another set of hands.

I bounced out of it from a development/admin perspective about a year or so ago.
They still mention you in the About Ourselves section.

Guilty as charged, but it was a copy of his father account lol.

Shuvinder Ogra with an Enterprise Rent a car icon was another one of mine. Killed quickly by Herself.

Yeah, because I asked for it as a condition when departing. Other co-founders don't seem to be listed. @Moxie

Anyway, you have to move with the times.... which is why I'm here. Good to see some heads from yesteryear actually... we all got older and too serious somewhere along the line. Time to backtrack a little.
