^ Belinda is a up and coming young player, all credit to Caroline she didnt allow Belinda into the match at all.Belinda looked unsettled all match, maybe she found it difficult making the transition from grass to HC.

A bit of a scare for Caroline. She's not feeling well throughout the first set and the rest of the match it's a bit better. But she's not the same efficient player like yesterday. Wonder what's wrong. Here are some stats from the match she won 46 62 61

Well done to Ana Konjuh (Q) the 16 year old Croat became the youngest WTA quarterfinalist since Donna Vekic at Tashkent in September 2012.

Caroline won without too many problems - a slip in concentration gave the second set to Pliskova. Agin she had more aces than normal - 6 this time. Good 1st serves - 64% and of those she won 70%. Many returns licked the lines - oh yes she's about back to her best.

No Carlsburg?

Caro did a good job today, aside from the second set that she lost, she was her own self. Supplementing her defensive skills with 6 aces, she undid Karolina's heavy ground stokes, forced her into taking chances that didn't work.

I don't think Caro will have any issues against Kristina, Roberta will have issues against this new Ana.

Ana did defeat Roberta in their only previous meeting earlier this year in Auckland on HC in 3 sets
Will Roberta get her revenge in the s/final?

I don't think so!
I may say that because I wanna see the youngster against Caro in the final, so I am biased.
but on the flip side of the coin, Roberta has been so so all year. I thought she got over the hump in Romania but she fizzled in the Final, she must be tired too.

^ I liked the way Roberta played against Nara in her q/final match,if she can produce that form against Ana I think she has a good chance to win.
I am delighted that Ana has made her first WTA s/final....she is on my list of rising players to watch.

 Are you serious? Did you really gave Vinci a chance against Simona on her home ground? :laydownlaughing
Maria on clay would have lost this match too! Simona would have rather died before losing at home.
Sometimes you come with the most weird stuff dear correspondent.
You didnt expect Halep to stay 4th in rankings, soon she will be 2nd. DEAL WITH IT and stop pretending that you are her fan while you dislike her.
Its not a shame to dislike a player, I also dislike some. People appreciate honesty more than a fake accuracy.
Tennis fans can be so weird and funny in their own little bubble :D
"How strange"...

As for Vinci, she actually improved in last months after horrible start of the year. She is on the rise, not on a slump. I am impressed by the way she came back, Errani may do the same soon. Those Italians have a fighting spirit, same as Pennetta.

I am watching the Caro match video and now I am convinced that Stella Mcartney(sp) hates women :D
Those shorts :snigger poor Caro is a good looking girl, why does she have to wear such a stupid stuff?
She will look HOT if she will wear the Simona one piece design.
Maybe Caro doesnt want to look hot because she doesnt need men in her life at the moment. I cant blame her.
