I don't care if he's a Joe or a Dick...I'm not admitting 6'4" players. (You can see we're having a good laugh here, but, sincerely, I don't think Muller makes the cut.)
Apart from Delpo, Kyrgios, Krajcek, Zverev and Goran I'm generally not a huge fan of the really tall players. The ones who have a bit more to their game than serving are more interesting, hence my list. If Isner keeps on playing like he has been this tournament he might almost qualify. Well... if he was such a mopey looking twat.
Moxie isn't admitting 6'4" players but Robin Söderling was quite a tall player at six foot fo'. Big serve and monster forehand quite like many of the other taller than 6'4" guys.
Del Potro is the best among the tall guys and I like his game. For a tall guy, he is nimble. I will go counter-current and add Karlovic. Karlovic has little else besides his serve, so he knows that he has to serve very well to win. He has the simplest game plan. I like it when he relentlessly aces opponents, or when he gets weak returns, he goes for easy smashes.
Amongst the big guys, I tend to like the more mobile ones. So eg Safin, Cilic, Jerzy.... Sadly this trait seems highly correlated with injury. So careers tend to be shorter or they lose their speed.
No, you stole my thread and gave it to @El Dude. And YOU are my bitch. Have you looked at the recent standings on the draw challenge? Hmmm? :devilfinger:
Safin is 6'4". Maybe a hair taller. And one of my favorites. He invented Big Man Tennis. But he's one of the reasons that I don't allow 6'4". As @Front242 , who mentioned Soderling. 6'4" is still a reasonable height, and it's not just about wingspan, movement, and serving from a tree. They still play like most tennis players, without specific advantage by height, or disadvantage by it. I think when you get into 6'6 and higher, there's a different kind of tennis. And some of us find a lot of it boring. That's what I'm interested in parsing out.
