Well we see it differently. Roger didn't make DP earn those breaks of serve. And the TB was batting practice on some of those approaches Roger hit.
E.g. Roger just ran through that back hand volley , he makes that shot against everyone else with the exception of this guy. Darth that's pressure although you refuse to acknowledge it

That only happened due to how he lost the first set. When it rains it pours. He's checked out mentally.

Forehand starting to misfire. It was on point all the first set, everything was except his serve and his mind when he was trying to serve for the set

Steadied the ship and takes advantage of a loose service game from DP. One set all but this match looks like 6-2, 6-3 but for a few errant moments from Roger. The big man wont go away in the 3rd.

The third will be another battle because Del Potro is a great fast court player too.

Yeah he steadied the ship alright.. Delpo played that last game and especially that last point like he needed to go take a del boo boo.. that was an lazy effort by him

Roger is not playing too well. Misses a routine forehand and gets broken.

Both are up and down since the middle of the 2nd. May come down to who blinks last.

DP's level has really dropped off but Fed has been the better all day aside from a few key moments.

One game away. Let's see if he can get out of his own way and finish it. DP's level dropped near the middle of the second set. Only real threats on Roger's serve has been with a lot of help from Fed.

Nice recovery to take the title. Getting some revenge for the two he lost to DP in 2012 and 2013. And title #95 to break the tie with Lendl, nice to do it in front of the home crowd.

Congrats Roger. I am putting all the errors and peaks and valleys aside for this one and giving Roger an A for the mental fortitude today. It would devastate anyone to lose that first set after totally dominating it. Well done.
Delpo played a lot of tennis and it is showing.

Its an important win psychologically for Roger, because Del Potro plays tough against Roger most of the time. Next time they meet-especially if its going to be a grand slam tournament-Roger will be confident and ready.

Does someone can tell me without any fanatism how Delpo really has played?

I saw it from the second set onwards. JMdP played well -- firing the backhand when he needed, the forehand with the usual intimidating power. His only fault was not to take advantage on a three double faults game by Federer on the second -- seems like both combined to play their worst game at the same time. The second set wast decided on one point basically -- it was very tough from any point of view.

On the third del Potro played one bad game only IMO, and pushed Federer a lot on Federer´s service games.

In a nutshell, no, no way he handed this one easily...
