Wawrinka is the favorite, but worth a shout is the second favorite, unseeded WC, Juan Martin Del Potro, fresh off his Stockholm title win this past Sunday.

Raonic is third favorite and Nishikori fourth along with Cilic.

At this time of year, I tend to go with the in-form player that might be a little fresher.

Respectfully,

Hoping Potro wins this tournament but doubt he has the energy to win back to back.

Love the way M Zverev plays. So refreshingly different from the baseliners.

Why can't Milos beat Berankis? Anyone watched?

I did not watch it. But, I think he is going through the curse of beating Roger. Since, then he has not done anything of value. :laydownlaughing :nono

M Zverev through to the QF, will face Wawrinka there. Can he repeat the feat his brother accomplished in St. Petersburg?

Probably not.

M Zverev beats Stan Wawrinka! I did not think that was going to really happen. Granted it is non-Slam Stan, but still.

Has anyone seen MZ play? He is impeccable at the net. A serve and volleyer. If he is on, it is not easy to beat him. I wonder what improvement he made to suddenly surge like this. I know he was injured for long stretches throughout his career. I really enjoy watching the short points. The endless rallies of the modern game gets tiresome.

Before Sasha and looking up his BIO, I didn't know anything about his brother! All of a sudden he's tearing it up; upsetting the top seed after being a perpetual qualifier! How does this happen to Stan? He handles the best Nole can offer in 3 major wins & then forgets how to play in a 500 vs an "also-ran!" No wonder he's owned by Roger! :nono
