Kim Kardashian: 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' films fake home exteriors



Not what you think! Kim Kardashian and her family have opened their doors to viewers for seven years on reality smash "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," but it turns out not everything the audience sees is, well, real. During a Mobio Insider Q&A with fans on Wednesday, the star admitted the family films fake exteriors of their home for safety reasons.

"My old home in Beverly Hills was really my home and I would get people showing up at all hours ringing my gate and had to call the police on several occasions," Kardashian, 33, said of her safety concerns. "People hopping the gate and scaring me."

"It was so unsafe. The Hollywood star tours would stop by too, because they recognized my home from our show," she continued. "After that we realized how unsafe it is to show the exterior of our homes."

She added, "When we film inside, that's obviously our real home." (Kardashian and her family have been filming at Kris Jenner's Calabasas, Calif., home since Season 1 in 2007.)

Kardashian, her fiance Kanye West, and the couple's 8-month-old daughter North West are currently living at Kris' Calabasas home while renovating their new house. The trio's life inside the "real" interiors of the home are currently being aired in the series' ninth season.

Kardashian's younger sister Khloe, meanwhile, has also joined the neighborhood. Us Weekly exclusively confirmed that Khloe, 29, has purchased Justin Bieber's Calabasas home. Khloe will now be a short distance from Jenner's home and will also be sister Kourtney's new neighbor.

Two Kardashian homes burglarized

Did some burglars just get lucky, or did they target sisters' homes?


Is someone targeting Kardashian abodes for burglary? Sounds crazy, but you never know with the Kardashians.

Today, Los Angeles police confirmed to People that the San Fernando Valley home formerly shared by Khloe Kardashian and her ex, Lamar Odom, had been burglarized.

TMZ reported earlier that about $250,000 in jewelry and watches were stolen from the Tarzana home, which has been empty for more than a month.

The burglary was only discovered Monday when Khloe and her mother, Kris Jenner, arrived to clean it out for the new owner, Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco.

Then, TMZ reported today that $50,000 in cash was taken from Kourtney Kardashian's Calabasas home last month, and police are looking into whether the two break-ins are related.

It could be an inside job, TMZ says. "We're told Kourtney left the money in a safe place in the house for a couple of days — and when she finally went to deposit the loot ... it was gone," the website said.

Both Tarzana and Calabasas are in the Valley, 15 minutes away from each other on the 101 Freeway. Calabasas might be better known lately as the pricey neighborhood where Justin Bieber lives and annoys his neighbors with his antics.

But Tarzana, despite the wacky name (it's the site of the former ranch owned by author Edgar Rice Burroughs, who created the Tarzan character), is a gated-community neighborhood, too: Khloe and Lamar's Mediterranean-style villa sold for $5.5 million, according to the Los Angeles Times, and has 8,000 square feet, custom closets, a home theater, seven bedrooms, nine baths, swimming pool with waterfalls and a spa, an outdoor kitchen and a fire pit, on three-quarters of an acre.

Some will be amazed and some will be disgusted or both

About a little more than half way thru the show I paused it

and googled their net worth and wondered why they were not

broke as their collective worth was reported as $120 million.

there is no way someone can have that much money spending

the way they do.

And then at the end of the show they revealed it

Police investigating Kris Jenner blackmail plot


Kris Jenner has turned to police for help amid reports suggesting she has become the target of an extortion plot over a non-existent sex tape.


The reality TV matriarch claims she has been bombarded with up to 300 phone calls, voice mails and text messages every day for the past few weeks from a person who claims to have obtained explicit footage of Jenner engaged in steamy romp.

The mystery caller has allegedly demanded the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star pay up in a bid to keep the tape under wraps, prompting Jenner to call in the cops.


Officers from Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department paid a visit to the family home on Tuesday to take down details about the incidents for a police report, according to TMZ.

Jenner is adamant the sex tape does not exist, despite previously confessing to once filming herself and her estranged husband, former Olympian Bruce Jenner, making love early on in their relationship.

The couple separated last year after 22 years of marriage.

Transformative Thailand? Though they've been amicable since the October 2013 announcement of their separation, Kris and Bruce Jenner looked extra close at LAX airport on Wednesday, April 2.


The separated couple, who have been married for more than 22 years, were holding hands and smiling at the airport after returning home from a family trip to Thailand.

The Kardashian-Jenner brood has been visiting Southeast Asia for the past week, and has been photographed filming the next season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

This isn't the first time Kris and Bruce have spent time together, but it is the first photograph of them being intimate since their separation. The emotional decision to split was documented on the recent season of the E! reality series.

The former Olympian, 64, moved into his Malibu pad while the momager, 58, stayed in the family's Calabasas compound.

"To be honest, I just don't see myself going back," Bruce admitted on the season 9 premiere of "KUWTK." "We both seem to be doing better with our space."

Khloe Kardashian can't seem to get enough of her rumored new boyfriend, French Montana. Paparazzi caught them exiting swanky Crustacean restaurant in Beverly Hills on Monday night, a day after they grabbed dinner at nearby eatery Philippe Chow.

The back-to-back outings follow a double-date last week with the reality star's sister, Kourtney, and would-be brother-in-law, Scott Disick, along with a trip to a Phoenix strip club, an appearance at the 16th birthday party of Diddy's son, Christian, and a house-hunting excursion.

While neither has commented the status of their relationship, a source tells E! News, "Khloe adores him. She keeps telling everyone what a great guy he is."

The tabloids, however, don't seem to agree, with Radar Online alleging that Khloe's big sister Kim has warned her away from Montana.

"Kim is telling Khloe that she should be really careful with French after everything she just went through with [estranged husband] Lamar [Odom]," maintains a spy. "He's got a lot of family drama that Khloe could get dragged into, and Kim doesn't want her to have a difficult romance this time."

Adds the insider, "Kim has said that Kanye doesn't have any family problems or past relationships that hold him back from completely loving her, and so that's what she wants for Khloe. She wants to see her sister happy, and she's worried that French isn't going to be able to fully commit to her sister. But the comparison irritates Khloe."

Her supposed annoyance is understandable (but grain of salt here, people). Kanye's lack of "family problems" might have something to do with fact that he lost his beloved mother in 2008. He's also an only child whose father left when he was a toddler.

Montana (real name Karim Kharbouch) is currently estranged from wife Deen Kharbouch, who is mother to his 4-year-old son, Kruz. She issued her own word of caution to Life & Style about the rapper.

"He and I worked together to put him where he is. As soon as he popped, it was as if Kruz and I didn't exist," Deen complained to the tab. "He practically abandoned us. … She has to be careful. Things are not what they seem."

Meanwhile, TMZ says Montana's most recent entanglement, rapper Trina, is also feeling put out by his seemingly burgeoning romance with Kardashian.

Word is, they were living together in New Jersey but weren't "officially" boyfriend and girlfriend. Still, she was "devastated" after seeing footage of them together and "feels like she got played."

and Kanye West reportedly plan to marry in late May during an opulent Parisian ceremony that would surely have Marie Antoinette sniping, "Geez, would you tone down the lavishness already? It's just embarrassing." But it looks like they will already be husband and wife when they swap vows before friends, family and the E! cameras.

TMZ says the twice-divorced Kim, 33, and the never-married Kanye, 36, are getting hitched "privately and without fanfare" this week after obtaining a "confidential" marriage license.

The reason: They're circumventing a French law that requires foreign citizens to reside in the country for a minimum of 40 days prior to the wedding (for those keeping track, that's more than half the length of Kim's marriage to Kris Humphries).

With a confidential license in hand, says TMZ, a court official will "go to them and perform the ceremony privately in their home" before the week's out. No word on whether this low-key wedding will be filmed for posterity, or if their 10-month-old daughter, North, will participate.

As for their Paris nuptials, the rumored location is the palatial Chateau Louis XIV, a newly constructed interpretation of a traditional French estate. Amenities include 10 swanky guest suites, a private nightclub, a movie theater and an aquarium lounge (très traditional). The elaborate "I dos" are reportedly set for May 24.

Meanwhile, one dubious report claims Kim and Kanye are longing to recreate Prince William and Duchess Kate's famous wedding-day kiss on a balcony of Buckingham Palace, and they're willing to plunk down nearly $350,000 to have a "contemporary balcony" built for the wedding (presumably reinforced to hold Yeezy's ego).

Another outlet believes they'll host a pre-wedding fete at the Eiffel Tower and put on a fireworks display to rival the London Olympics.

One thing is certain: Kim and Kanye's wedding, like their engagement, will redefine excessive.

Let's hope what happens in Vegas doesn't set off another feud with Selena Gomez. Justin Bieber continued to document his friendship with Kylie Jenner via Instagram on Sunday, May 4, by posting a selfie with the reality star following the Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight in Sin City on Saturday, May 3.


The photo shows the "Boyfriend" crooner, 20, rocking a pair of sunglasses and holding the camera out in front of him as Jenner, 16, peers over his shoulder into the camera. Model Yovanna Ventura, 18, also appears in the pic, but her face is obscured by shadows.

Both Bieber and Jenner were in Las Vegas for the weekend to watch Mayweather Jr. defeat Marcos Maidana on Saturday night. They were among several stars who stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; also in town for the weekend were Jenner's sister Khloe Kardashian, rapper French Montana, Kendrick Lamar, and Bieber pal Lil Za.

A source confirms to Us Weekly that Jenner was hanging out with Selena Gomez's ex-boyfriend and his crew but notes that it didn't look particularly romantic. "They were just having fun," the insider says.

Good thing, too. Jenner was recently at odds with Gomez because of her too-close friendship with the pop star. "Selena felt Kylie was flirting with Justin," a source previously told Us of the "Come & Get It" singer, who spent time with Jenner and her sister Kendall at Coachella. Adds another insider: "It got messy. Selena said the Jenner girls were flirting with Justin and his crew. She was pissed and overreacted."


Fortunately for all involved, the tension has since been dissolved. "Selena has no issues with the Jenner girls," a source noted. "They had an issue, but they have cleared it up. She has always liked the Jenner girls. They had been fans of Selena since they were young."
