So far today, Coric and Berrettini are through, but Khachanov just went out in straights to Sousa.

Looks like Khachanov lost his mojo. Since the RG he did absolutely nothing.

I will give him a pass. He has become a Dad.
Yeah, for this week. I think the baby's not even a week old. But other than a deepish run at RG and Roger's Cup, he really hasn't done anything all year to back up beating Novak to win Paris Bercy last fall.

Match of the day tomorrow has to be Medvedev v. Rublev. Berrettini has a qualifier Gerasimov who's outside of the top 100.

I find this info too late. Already picked a Daddy to make a final :-)2. Great for him have a baby. These young russians are all serious about their ladies, they don't waste time and settle early like people used to do.

Agree with @Moxie, Medvedev-Rublev is a very interesting match.

Just to get things straight...he has won 2 out of 5 this year. He has 5 titles. He lost a masters 1000 final at Montreal to Nadal and the USO final to Nadal and Washington to Kyrgios. All very respectable losses. Didn't fare too well first time he played Nadal and look at the score of their second match.

I'm not wrong about anything btw. I realize he won ONLY 2 of the 5 he played this year but I'm showing you again WHY he lost. Pretty tough opponents...

You're being far too hard on him for nothing. I'm sticking up for Medvedev also cos I like him and it's unfair and unrealistic criticism.
lol Medvedev lost in 250 final in Australia and Dthiem in Barcelona final so its not 2 out of 5 like you say its, 2-5\ [Brisbane 2019 final] he got beaten by k.nishikori, [two finals] to nadal, N.kyrios [Washington final] and D.thiem [Barcelona final] that five finals lost and two win like a said dumb ass 2-5. really bad post by you and again your always wrong, also its not unrealistic for Medvedev to beat players like N.kyrgios nishikori, d.thiem or even nadal in uso final having break points in the final set. and if feel IM being unfair on him too bad little girl cry me a river:rose:not going to stop just because say so, Medvedev does need to do better in finals and that's my option cant handle it go to different fourm.:cuckoo:

Corric is very unconvincing. He started yesterday not too well, went down a set and a break against Fucsovics, after that he evened the match and in the third the Hungarian retired.
Today he started the same way against Ruud. He is now one set and one break down.

Medvedev still chugging along like the little engine that could. Berrettini, however, lost to the Q outside of the top 100. I read that he moved into the #8 spot for the YEC above Kei with his win yesterday. Wonder if he got distracted by looking ahead. Didn't see any of the match, so I have no idea how this Gerasimov plays, but not a great follow-up from the USO for @kskate2 BF. Bummer.

Come on, he at least reached a QF. After such a great run from out of (almost) nowhere at USO, if he had gone out early here it wouldn't have been surprising.

Maybe, but you're kind of underselling him. Medvedev is still in. If these guys want to challenge in a big way, they can't fade. They need to show some consistency.

Agree. What Medvedev is doing this year is amazing, a real breakthrough. 53 match wins so far including this tournament. His consistency this season and especially this summer has been a key in becoming a player to beat. His confidence seems very high at the moment and I will be surprised if Coric takes him out tomorrow.

Talking about consistency if Zverev does not qualify for YEC he will sink like a stone.

H2H is 4-1 in favor of Coric, but it's hard not to pick Medvedev, unless it all starts to catch up with him.

Matteo was not known for his results on hard courts before the USO. Everything he has achieved this year, aside clay is an unchartered territory.
He had lost here the match to Gherasimov in 2 TB, so I am willing to overook this result. Plus he is in the final in he doubles today, therefore this event it is not exactly a bust.

Medvedev continues his dream season and dismantles Coric in a final, leaving him collecting games.

I only saw the scores, but it went by fast! Coric is having the opposite year of DM's.
