Now that you mentioned, I too remember that. I know she made the trip over to Bastad. But, I could not remember as to whether she actually played there. I think she played one match or something and then gave some lame injury excuse and left.

I have no idea, but Caroline made the decision to play this tournament a long time ago (she proberly didn't think she would win tha AO) and a promise - in her book - is a promise.

Funny about all the attention this got on twitter and Facebook. The only reason she took the trophy to Russia is because she hasn't been home in Florida yet. She flew to Denmark right from Australia for a small visit and right on to Russia - so where should she place the trophy? There's a lot of hate from Halep fans. I understand they are dissapointed, but give it a rest.....
